Actually she should have water available from the time you got her! My rex kittens were drinking water from mom's dish from 3 weeks old
Milk is a food - not a source of "water". If your kitten is eating solid foods (kitten) and drinking water, then you don't need the KMR. I think I only used it for a few weeks when they first started eating. But mom nursed them for 10-12 weeks anyway, so I rarely had to use KMR.
okay so ill start giving her water now, lol and she has been eating wet food for kittens all day, and occasionally nibbles on dry kitten food, so when i run out of the little bit of kmr i have left should i buy more, or just let her eat wet and dry food? thanks alot =)
I've got two litters of kittens, one litter is 6 weeks old and the other litter will be 5 weeks old on Wednesday & Thursday. 9 out of 10 kittens are eating both canned and dry kibble and drinking water (plus nursing on mom). I gave them KMR first, for about a week, then moved on to the canned food and now they'll gladly eat the dry food as well.
