We rescued a 4 week old abandoned kitten yesterday. It's feral mother gave birth in our shed and unfortunately was hit by a car yesterday morning. I immediately made an appointment with our vet, and bought bottles, kitten milk replacer, and kitten food. We took her to the vet and she weighed 13 oz. as of yesterday. Her teeth are coming in, and the vet gave her a checkup and dewormer. The vet seemed to think she was in good condition other than having a bloated belly. The kitten will not take to the bottle, will not eat or drink anything, and I'm afraid she will become dehydrated. She hasn't eliminated other than her peeing on the floor once. I've tried rubbing her anal area with a warm washcloth, and nothing has worked. I've tried force feeding her with a syringe and I've gotten a few mL of kitten formula down, but nowhere near what she should be getting. I've made a warm gruel, and have even tried incorporating chicken Gerber baby food. She just turns her nose up at it. All she seems to want to do is sleep. Should I be concerned?
