I have 3 cats. One male, 2 females. The male and one female are brother and sister and are litter mates. Never been outside or exposed to other cats etc. very lovey and playful. The female is very skittish however. They are a little over 2 years.
The other female was an outdoor cat. My neighbor used her as a yard cat after she’d been dropped off by a family she’d been with. She’s a little over a year old. She was starving and kept coming up to me so my husband and I took her in, got her to the vet etc. I had her isolated for a couple weeks as she was recovering from Giardia.
I tried an introduction and they would bump noses occasionally but the new one would attack the other two. The other two wouldn’t fight back just run away. They were very stressed! Me too!
This went on for about a month. The fighting and stress on them I felt was not worth it so I’m trying a slower reintroduction. I don’t know what else to do and am at the end! I don’t want to rehome her but I can’t keep the other two under constant stress either nor can I keep her separated forever.
Any suggestions? Thank you
