2 adult cats, introducing a kitten??

I have 2 adult cats 9 and 10, mother and son. I'm thinking of getting a kitten but I'm worried whether it would work, the female is quite aggressive especially to her male son and he is a very scared cat. I'm just wondering if anybody has been in a similar situation and could give me advice. Thanks.

With two older cats, you would need to be very careful and go by the book with introductions.  It's really important to take things slowly and allow the process to evolve.
