In Greece there's this -perhaps erroneous- idea that cats should not be shaved unless absolutely necessary because they stress out too much if they're missing their fur. In my case, it's because Cardo is indoors-outdoors, so she'll freeze in this winter and because she's a senior, there's no need to drug her for this.
I know that cats can learn to new tricks at an old age, she did learn to tolerate me when she was eight, after all! She's learned all sorts of new things in the past four years but not how to tolerate a brush. I probably didn't try hard enough, though, I know I need to try it again.
