My cat Glitch is having problems pooping. I first noticed a couple weeks ago and took him to the vet. They xray ed him and confirmed he was backed up then have him a enema. By the time he left he still hadnt pooped and gave me a stool softenerto give him. I took him back two days later because as far as I could tell he still hadn't pooped like he should of. Again they did xray and said yes he was still backed up. They gave him two more enemas and sent him home. Since then I have been only feeding him wet food mixed with pumpkin and adding water to it because it seems he's not drinking water not like he use to if any and keeping a eye on his litter box usage . He strains to poop still with just a few liquid drops coming out. I then consulted a online veterinary Dr who gave me instructions on what to use and how to give him a warm water enema myself. I gave it to him and there was poop on the applicator but he still hasn't pooped. My question is . . . I think he might have swallowed a piece of plastic because all his life he's " chewed" on plastic bags but it's only like rubbing his teeth against it. He's never chewed a hole in the bags. Wouldn't the xray the vet did show that there was plastic obstructing his intestinal Trac? I'm taking him back in tomorrow morning because I know he has to not be feeling well. Each day he walks slower and slower. Poor baby. I'm very worried about him
