About two weeks ago my cat began displaying some red sores/marks on her body. Largely on the top of her paws, on her legs, and the middle of her back. It seems like they itch or are irritating because she seems to lick/bite those areas on occasion. Not like crazily -- I don't think she is causing the marks herself, but she is likely exacerbating her skin issue.
There is another cat in the house, a 2 y/o male cat. But he loves her and I've never seen him attack her or do anything to cause those marks himself. They do play fight a tiny bit (sneak up and pounce, and then run around a bit -- but that's it), but they are pretty tame most of the time.
We havent changed her diet recently, or introduced anything new to the environment. She is exclusively indoors and hasnt been outside -- I'm not sure how she would have been exposed to anything that she wasnt already exposed to for months.
I've already read about potential cat skin conditions, but I didn't see anything that seems to fit perfectly. I dont think we have fleas or anything like that. We also have another cat in the house -- I don't think it would have been anything contagious.
Please check out my pictures and let me know what you think?
Thanks!!!
Ayla
