Thats so true. She's so comfortable with her body, and she's got curves! I just adore her - I think she's a great role model.

And she is aging gorgeously! Yeah, that's why she's such a hit I think- she has curves and still has this incredible body. She's my one girl crush
Plus, I think she is doing so much to increase diversity in the modeling world. ANTM always has such a diverse group of girls and I think it is beyond awesome that Anchal (the Indian girl) is one of the finalists. She's one of my favorites to win because NO ONE in the modeling world looks like her!

I saw Danielle's (the last ANTM winner) Cover Girl commercial last night too, and she looks wonderful!
She was an awesome choice to win! And did you notice how much more subtle her accent is?!?!

Yes, I thought she sounded great too! I think she was a great choice - although I LOVED Joanie
We loved Joanie as well!!! She was just so sweet and did gorgeous photos!
I did also like Danielle though, and thought she was more "modelly" away from the cameras, whereas Joanie did gorgeous photos, but didn't look as sophisticated away from the cameras (but that's kinda why I loved her!).

I watched last night as a welcome distraction from my missing kitties. I agree Danielle sounded much better. The girl who won the season before always sounded stilted, though she was really pretty.
I think its pretty early to tell but they are editing monique to be the villian.. There are a few stunning looking girls and a few that kinda blend in. The twins are just sorta okay. I don't know if that girl who was late was really a diva, but who knows.. She did blow the shot but at least she knew it, unlike last year's Furonda who was in her exact same position (last two in first show).. I think the show also deliberately created some of the tension by not giving them enough beds. Duh!

SO and I were on a TV show in L.A. once, (long story short, we were on a show for relationsip help, he was called "Larry Elder". He's like Dr. Phil-ish.)
But the producers were CRAZY about us "poking and proding" one another while on the show. They put us in separate rooms and sat with us for a while and got us REAL mad at each other before the show. It was terrible.
And everytime they went for a commercial break, they'd come running up there, and remind us to make each other mad, and give us ideas and things to say. Like it was scripted.

The twins.... ugh, I just don't get it either.... I don't think they will both go too far. One does have the 'model' look to her a bit more (the one who had the 'bulemic photo', was better than the one who had the 'annorexic photo')

I love AJ - I just love her look. I hope they don't give her extensions or anything. I love her short hair!
In my opinion Jade was B*TCH. I missed the episode when she got booted off and I wish I saw that one. AJ is great she looks like a skinny version, of pink the singer.
someone in my sociology class said they went to high school with aj and she is very nice and down to earth.
Oh my! I finally got to finish watching the first episode yesterday and I can't believe the first thing they made them do was pose naked!!!!!
I thought that was truly disgusting. And to force them to do something that was against their morals I thought was just wrong. Poor Ginger was so upset, and the fact that they were saying pretty much "you won't go through if you don't pose naked" was horrible. Topless is one thing, but to have everyone seeing their "bits" is another thing.
They should have given them the option of wearing skin coloured underwear that they could edit out later. If I was Ginger's parents, and saw that she was being forced to do that on national television, I would be sooooo upset!
Have they made them pose naked in previous seasons?? Would the girls have been aware that they might have to do that?

I kinda agree with you on that one. I've seen artsy, model-y poses where the girls are "naked" but in fact are wearing nude-colored undies, have their hands over their breasts, etc. These girls were literally thrown out there naked and I do feel bad that they did that- I don't think any professional models ever have to pose like that unless it's in Playboy (and those girls are NOT professional models!).
That said, I loved the makeovers last night! I was pleasantly surprised with the twins' photo shoots, but still contend that Anchal and AJ are my faves. I was sad to see you-know-who go so soon (don't want to ruin it for people who haven't seen it yet)- I didn't peg her to win, but I don't think she should have gone home so soon.
I think that the girls are going to have to lose the self conciousness about it if they are going to be in that business. No one forced them to do anything- they can leave at anytime. Sorry if this belongs in IMHO.

I agree with you that they do need to lose their inhibitions. They will be changing in front of dozens of people behind the scenes at fashion shows. However, to have them pose completely COMPLETELY naked on the top of a roof their first day out was just a bit much. I know they want to "separate the boys from the men" so to speak, but I think maybe they could have accomplished that in a more discrete way.

Just read this thread as ANTM started here in britain last night double bill but it looks like its last seasons and ive ended up just finding out the winner i think oops......I just wanted to see if anyone had seen the bitchy 'Jade' before on tv because she is really familiar ?
Jade was on last season.. She was on Tyras talk show a few weeks ago to talk about the show last year. don't know if she was on TV or what. Enjoy last season, I thought it was great!

I always wait till the season is almost over and watch the whole thing on marathons on VH1!
