I am SO excited! I just happened to drop by a local gift shop this morning, and they had something that I know my person likes for 8 cents!!!!!!! They are normally 200 times that!I am doing major bargain shopping!
My local library is having a 10 cent book sale soon also!
Another thing to remember for those from abroad who will be shipping to the U.S.: No agricultural products or flowers are allowed, so avoid things like dried fruit, pot pourri, spices, teas, etc..Originally Posted by AbbysMom
If you signed up for the Secret Santa exchange check your email, because the information has been sent to you
If you have questions about an address or who you are sending to, please contact Chester&Piper, huggles, or myself
Just a reminder to those of you shipping to a member in another country - the Post Office gets very backed up around Christmas, and you can not rely on the guidelines given for shipping. A package to Australia is supposed to take 4-6 weeks from the US. I mailed my package via ground at the end of October, and it was not received until January.
The US guidelines can be found here:

Have fun and happy shopping!
That goes for UK and Canadian Customs too (although I haven't had problems with tea before)!Originally Posted by jcat

Otherwise, your packages may be tied up at customs forever, and then sent back to you or abandoned. Don't put string around the packages, either - that's another no-no.
Signed,
Somebody who has been dealing with U.S. Customs for decades
That's good! My experience has been that tea bags were okay, but loose tea wasn't. I've had one or two embarrassing encounters with the "produce-sniffing" dogs working in Atlanta, N.Y., or Philadelphia. "Hmmm, sauerbraten spices in a sealed container. Can we allow that?" Half an hour later - "Okay, you can bring it iinto the country". I once sent my brother an eiderdown/duck-feather duvet, and the darn thing got tied up at customs for nearly five months. Another time I'd been given a candy bar by the airline, which I didn't eat, but stuck in my handbag. A little Beagle howled at me so long at the airport that I went through all my things, and upon finding it, simply gave it to her. Her handler told me that wasn't allowed, but that "she's really greedy, and getting a reward encourages her".Originally Posted by icklemiss21
