I read the sticky, and didn't find Zissou's little problem. Maybe I'm being hypochondriac kitten momma.
When grooming herself, Zissou sometimes bites at particular areas, always on her legs or feet.
There is no hair loss, sores, bumps, anything at all. Also, the fur in these areas isn't visibly knotted or matted.
She does not have fleas, ear mites, mange, anything, nor does she go outside except with me, and then she is on either a wooden deck-type platform or pavement.
Is this a normal part of grooming? It reminds me a little of my ex-boyfriend's dog's behavior around his hot spots / possible cancer (he was hit by a car before they took him to the vet).
Any ideas? She has been doing it for a few months now, and I mentioned it to the vet but he said he couldn't see any problems. He was kind of less-than-impressive though.
