Sending lots of good and comfy vibes for your tests - esp. since I have a fondness for guinea pigs.
(Esp. for my RB piggy Gertrude.

Thankyou soo much everyone for all of your kind words and vibes! I really appreciate it! Today I was only able to have the gastric emptying test done- it took longer than they thought-so i'm going to go next week and have the Celiac test done. I should have my results in on friday. They did however rule out stomach cancer which is wonderful news!
/ I do have a bit of bad new though- As soon as I returned home from the hospital....I went to feed the foster kittens..When i picked up Lex, his whole body went limp...and he started to have seizures while i was holding him. It was aweful! He just looked horrible....I weighed him and he had lost over 2 ounces (which is quite a significant amount of weight at that age...and the thing is he is feed every few hours and 2x daily to monitor his progress) since yesterday because he had become so sick at his little tummy. Needless to say, I got a ton of liquids and electrolites in him ( this isn't the first kitten i've had that has had a seizure on me, so i knew what to do thankfully). As soon as i did that we were off to the vet. He had a bit of iv fluid there....and now he is home resting- he's doing quite better now....he's eating fairly well and i'm keeping liquids in him. He has also started to walk around again and meow a bit so that's good news
. So tomorrow morning i'm taking him into the vet one more time for another iv and then he should hopefully be in the clear. It's been a long day for me and little Lex. Thankyou for your vibes everyone! Ya'll have all been soo wonderful and helpful! Have a lovely night

It is really hard to go through a whole battery of medical tests and have so much going on, but as they are doing them all at once, at least you will know they are doing a sufficient job in trying to ascertain what the problem is so that they can do what is right to get you better.

You're absolutely right.
I only wish they were doing them all at once though, i've been a gunie pig for the past 2 years
. But at least i'm blessed to have insurance and good doctors
I'm very greateful for that. And my kitties- they always make me smile when i'm going through medical isses!

By the way, welcome to TCS

Ok so i know this is a bit off topic, so i had to share my good news!!!
Yea!!! Lex is doing awesome this morning!!!! I'm sooo excited!
I stayed up with him all night and gave him tons of fluids and food and now this morning he's running around everywhere, meowing and he's almost back to 100%. That's awesome considering his seizure yesterday. I'm soooo excited! Today all 3 of the litle foster kittnes are getting their baths (and Lex is getting his second one....yesterday he had a seizure when i was giving him some red gatoraid.....he's a white kitten
...lol, so when i tried to clean him up with baby wipes, it just turned his fur pink...so he need a bath and is stable enough now to have one!) I'm soo excited! My little furbaby is gonna be just fine
.

I'm so glad that Lex is doing better.
Though you have to tell him it is a little bit early for easter and dying himself pink.

Thankyou for the sweet comments! I'm excited he's doing better too
. I was sooo worried about him. He just had his dinner a few minutes ago..and ate a good bit and he's back around 11-12 ounces today....which is still underweight (he lost a lot between seizures...he was sick at his stomach and it was just aweful
) So at least today he's looking a lot better. All 3 furbabies will be getting their baths tonight....especially Lex....lol, he said to tell you that his meowmy "dyed him pink and it was quite demsaculiating"

Maybe it would be better if he told himself he was dyed fuschia (which for some reason my husband thinks is a more masculine form of pink
though I tell him otherwise)

Fuschia???
That is too funny! I told Lex that it takes a real man to wear pink
. I gave him his bath tonight...and much to my horror- guess what wouldn't come off??? That red gatoraid!!! It's horrible- it stained his white fur! I got most of it off, but there's still a big pink stain on his fur near his shoulder. My poor baby! I was like...what do i do now!
So i bathed him and shampooed him and then i dried him and gave him his dinner....He's such a great guy! I didn't want to traumatize him any more tonight by trying to get the pink stain out of his fur....so i'm going to post in the grooming or breeders forms and see if anyone knows how to get a stain out of a white kitty.
My poor Lex...he's been through the mill this week. Oh, i do have some more good news though- he has gained a bit more weight since this morning...so that's good news
. Kenzie & Keiko are up to 13 ounces too....My furbabies are growing up!!!
...hummm i think i hijacked my own thread lol
.

Just catching up on this thread and I wanted to wish you and Lex well, and hope things continue to look up. When any of my white kits have stains I bath them but often have to leave stains to work their own way out - some just will not come off and it is too traumatic for them to keep trying.

Thanks for your sweet wishes! They are very appreciated! I had a few more food issues today- but i did try my hand at making my own homemade gluetin free bread- and it turned out awesome!!!
I was sooo excited! / I have a white odd-eyed Turkish Angora, Isabella, but she has never had a stain (I keep my girls very clean)...So i'm completly perplexed about Lex's current "fur colors". I only bathed him once today- didn't want to traumatize him any more, he's such a good baby
. I think he actually enjoys the water- he kisses me the whole time and "swims"-it's adorable. I posted my question in the Grooming forum and the Breeders forum. Hopefully someone will know how to remove it.
But for now, i'm definitely agreeing with you and giving him a break from the baths
. Hope you have a lovely night!
