I just now saw this thread!
I joined Sparkpeople a looong time ago- back when you had to pay!- and if you really do keep on top of it, it does work! I wasn't really doing any exercising but I was keeping track of what I ate with the meal planner and basically counting calories... I can't remember how much weight I lost but it was around 10 pounds. It came off relatively fast too and it was healthy because I was eating my recommended amount of calories and the correct portion sizes- not junk food like normal.
The only thing is that it takes a lot of will power to continue measuring out servings & diligently entering your progress online so eventually I wander off my path and end up right back to my current state of fatness!
I do much much better with the stretching exercises than the cardio but that's true for me no matter where/how I work out. I like that they give you a little tutorial on how to do each exercise too.
So anyway- I joined the TCS group and I am making an impromptu diet decision- it starts today! YIKES!
I do have a question for those of you that have already started- if you use the meal tracker to keep track of what you eat- how do you figure out calories and all that stuff for homemade meals? This was always the hardest for me and I always guestimated based on each ingredient so I'm sure I was way off
I was Sabarrett1 but I just changed it to SarahBeez so it was the same on here and Spark!
