Things to do during TCS Downtime...

Just saw the announcement by Anne about the downtime today. (The twitching is starting already! ) What can we do during those hours...

Clean house? (Nope. )
Pay bills - done that already
Play with kitties
Search for gnomes to send for Secret Santa!!!

I'm going shopping...

I should start packing for vacation (but I've been saying that all day).

Curl up in the fetal position and hit the refresh button every 5 minutes.

Or do laundry (with Lucy's help)

Housework and cooking for the week ahead.

Well, we're back up, and I still haven't packed (there's still tomorrow). However, I downloaded a lot of new fonts and brushes to use with Paint Shop Pro, and made 4 siggies for the "Siggy Shower" thread.

My dishes and clothes are all washed, my bed has clean linens and I took myself out for breakfast.

Lucy doesn't do laundry and if she has her way, I don't either. I'm just here to hold her.

I went grocery shopping instead.

Oh thank goodness I must have missed the down time! Whew!

I spent most of the time making siggys

I spent time posting on the canine crib...a dog forum I heard about here at TCS. http://www.caninecrib.com/dog/forum/default.asp

I did look at verdant green...seems like lots of good info, but I'm not much of a gardener. It will be a good resource when I have questions about my grape vines or apple trees!

No gnome shopping! Did read the Sunday paper and watch a couple episodes of The Dick Van Dyke show on DVD. And worked on an order for a new bra and nightgown and maybe a shirt or two.

Fortunately, the downtime was mostly still within "sawing logs" time for me, and by the time I'd checked email and we'd had breakfast, the forums were back up. Phew!
