urgent help needed for Sydney

Sydney has always been good in using his litterbox .
Since a few days , half of the urine was on the floor , right outside the box . But today it is really weird : he peed in the middle of the livingroom , on the floor . He looked as if in trouble .
Anybody any ideas ??? I have a vet's appointment in 1/2 hour , but I appreciate all advise I can get !!! So please : help me out !!!

You are doing the right thing by taking him in to get vet-checked. He could have a urinary tract infection and this is the only way he has of alerting you that something is wrong. If the vet gives him an all clear sign, you might try adding a second box. Putting the box in a more private place, getting a bigger box for him and making sure the box is very clean. Good luck!

Any updates on Sydney? Poor baby has been through so much already. I'm sending lots of positive energy his way.

Poor Sydney, I hope he's ok. It does sound like a UTI and you know it's funny how cats know to pee outside their box to tell you that something is wrong. Pretty clever of them huh?

oh yippedie yeah !!!!! The test results of Sydney's urine are negative : NO stones ,NO nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!
Sydney is probably only acting weird because he senses that we are going to leave him behind ; weirdie boy !!! he was "helping" a lot packing : rested on top of the pile of clothes , investigated all suitcases , and finally fell asleep inside my dresser of sweaters !!! :laughing: :clown:

So thanks to everybody for being so concerned about him !!! Those good thoughts made that test turn out okay !!!

so , tomorrow we're of to France till July 27 , 28 or 29 !(depends on the weather !!)
