Ok so I saw the Sims thread and have to ask...Does anyone play Animal Crossing? I am soooo addicted to this game! I figured if anyone played it would be people on this board. It is the cutest game. I originally played it on the Gamecube (not a gamer at ALL!). But we ended up getting the DS and I've really gotten into it on the DS. There are so many aspects that are appealing to the non-gamer.

I'm currently growing a Coconut, peach, and apple orchard (pears are my native plant). I've accumulated I think about 5 pictures so far from teh animals in town. I'm loading the museum up with fish and bugs, and slowly the paintings from Redd's.

My current animal townspeople are: Goose (chicken), Joey (duck), Mint (squirrel), Rasher (pig), Lucky (dog), Rhoda (rhino), Portia (dog), and Truffles (pig). Others that have left (not till I get their picture!) are Egbert (chicken), Coco (bunny), the ardvaark (can't remember her name), and a couple others.

The only thing I wish they allowed was to pick what animal your character is instead of being the only human in town.

Anyway, this game is way to fun. I've been playing Nintendogs (very cute) too but not nearly as addictive.

No I don't think so. I think they might have had a version for Gameboy Advance. Then they have it for Gamecube, DS, and Wii in the future so a Nintendo game. It is such a great game though. I like games where you can set it down and nothing will come attack you!

I've also finished several of the dinosaur skeletons. Still have a ways to go though.

Not for PC, but when the Nintendo Wii comes out later on this year, it's going to be WiFi compatible, and an "always on" internet feature. It's also only going to be $250.00, and will come with the whole old school Nintendo library as downloadable content.

Not a shocking post from the girl who named her cat 8-Bit!

Your post made me smile.

I really can.

Did you see the penny arcade post about the Wii?

Every time I see the word written I remember the cartoon and can't stop giggling.

Oh yeah... that was a classic. My current new favorite was last Monday's about E3. Any Star Wars reference is good, but that one was one of the best I've seen in a while.

I haven't checked in ages - I should sit down after dinner and catch up! I'm sure I'll sleep tonight after all that giggling.

I have the DS version, but unfortunately there's no wifi hotspots around here except this awful sports bar & grill place
so no visitors for me. I'm still stuck with just pears... meaning I don't play that often

Starbucks has them. There should be approximately 50 of those in a 5 block radius of your house.

I haven't hooked up with Wifi yet. You can get a little card for your computer that will give you the wifi connection (only $30). I think it takes Windows XP though. I have an mac at home but my work laptop is XP, I don't think they would care off hours
. My husband has a DS version too so we visit each others towns. Most of the time I play without connecting though.
