Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve just spent the better part of this evening apologizing to a neighbor on behalf of the boys. My neighbor's little girl brought home a small mouse from her day care, and it got out (I can tell you all know where this is going). Well, somehow the boys presented it to me as a trophy. I have no idea how the little thing got into my apartment, but I did know it was the little girl's because she had knocked on my door and asked about it.

I have offered to buy a new mouse.

RIP little Baxter.

That is up for debate at this point. Bit presented it to me, but Scratch was following close behind. So I am working under the assumption that it was a 50/50 hunt, chase, kill.

Edit: Bit was so proud of it too! He was purring and trilling! I didn't have the heart to lecture him about it.

The Mom was great, she said she was worried that it may find its way into my apartment. The little girl cried a bit, but I brought her over to meet the boys. She had a good time petting them, and playing with Scratch. I think she understands that it wasn't that they were being mean they were just being cats.
