Because THIS always happens!

They walk through the end, where the hole is, to get to the window and before you know it, the slats are broke, and they make their own "kitty door"

I have the same problem! I've basically given up leaving them down, I always have to pull them up about 6 inches for easy kitty access

I actually have to go shopping for new blinds this week! One of ours is broken...I don't know whether my husband did it or a cat...

Well, if your kits are anything like my kits, it was a cat!

That is so cute! I have my damaged ones still up in the living room. I see no point in replacing it till we move. Unless they get too bad I guess. Mine don't go for the end of the shade, they dig right through the slats. I find them bent up all the time. Fortunately they go right back pretty much!

Lol i feel ya on the miniblinds! I did however find that mine haven't inflicted damage on my bamboo blinds at all- they've held up really well. I also heard verticle blinds work well too. Good luck replacing the blinds
. Maybe you can lift them up a few inches when you go to work so that your kitties can look out the window without tearing the blinds?

Bailey looks quite happy with himself

Vertical blinds aren't completely impervious.
My rb boy, B.C. chew the ends up on my mom's sliding glass door verticals.

Not a happy mom!

I took down and threw out our miniblinds last year.
Now I have sheers, which are full of runs of course, and I use heavier curtains.
Silly kitties.

Try the faux wood blinds, as well. They are really tough to damage and fairly inexpensive.
