OMG!!! I have been writing down all the names and I am going to see which ones come easiest when we talk to them. So far I call them both "lil pappa" and that won't do. Thank you so much for all the ideas.

Are you going to keep them?

We're musicians, so we often name cats after instrument manufacturers. Holton (french horn) Heckel (bassoon) Deagan (percussion) Steinway (pianos). My son just named his new puppy after Jim Morrison from The Doors - JD, short for James Douglas.

Hehe, I like that idea too! We had dogs named Rick James and Marley- after Bob Marley. Not my idea, I swear

Do you have Smudgie yet?

What are their personalities like?

Given that they are kittens, how about "Search" and "Destroy"?

If you like the music link that someone suggested, how about "Treble" and "Bass"? Or "Allegro" and "Adagio"/"Adage"?

Personally, I like Allegro and Adagio - they have a very classy look to them. I think I would name the one with the white paws Allegro and the one with the cream paws Adagio.

With Treble and Bass, you could pick based on their voices, of course, which would be best, but just going on the pictures, I would pick Treble for the cream paws and Bass for the white paws.

Search and Destroy would have to be assigned based on personality!

Good luck!

Good Luck!!!

P.S- My friend just got a female seal point that looks similar to your ragdoll and she named her Karma, very original name I thought! Here is a pic of Karma...

Ok, I'm officially hooked.

Do you have any favorite characters you would like to name them for?

I was just wandering around my house looking for my glasses when the names of two of my fav characters (twins) popped into my head (I like the Vorkosigan saga by Lois McMaster Bujold): Miles Naismith and Mark Pierre (alternatively Lord Miles and Lord Mark).

Hi Amy!
Smudge will (hopefully) be coming on July 27!

Last year I had to name 8 kittens. I named one right away - Dora (the Explorer) because she started trying to get away from her mom right away. Then we had a little one with little black spots on his head that looked like devil's horns so he was Dante. So I tried naming them all with D names!

So if they are little devils they could be Dante and Damien.

Or literarily, Charles and Dickens, Heathcliff & Rochester...

I want to thank everyone for their suggestion for names. I let the boys be the decision makers ( I picked the names they could pick from).

Kitten #1 is: Odin
Kitten #2 is: Holton

Both names fit perfectly.
We wanted to pick names that went together but they didn't fit the personalities. These fit their individual personalities. Thanks so much

Cool! Are you keeping them? Did I ask this already? If so, I'd better update your siggy!

Yes, I am keeping them!
The names are perfect and the boys actually picked the names I hoped they would. Each name fits the personality perfectly.

I have very bad news that I wasn't sure I could share...I feel very responsible for the results of this whole situation. Nina went in to be spayed today and didn't make it. She became very vocal over the last 4 days and the vet suggested she be spayed. She didn't have the uterine infection that he thought but when I picked her up at 2:00 she was clearly stressed. I took her directly to the vet and she passed in the room. He didn't know exactly why and said it could have happened even if she hadn't had the babies. I just feel bad about the whole thing. She was sooo very special and deserved the best.
