Do you remember or still go to drive in movie theatres with your family?
If so, how long has it been?

It's been aaaaaaaaaaaaages since I've been to a drive-in! But I do remember them. One had the greatest playground.

I think the closest one is about 30 minute drive east of me. Town called Reo. All the others were swallowed up by urban sprawl.

I am your age too....and I only remember going one time to a drive in when I was young.....we are just lucky enough to have one here in alabama...but it's like the only one around us and most people don't know about it...which is good because its not crowded

The first movie I ever saw at a drive-in was The Addam's family (values I think)

the last one I have seen at the drive in movie theater was Bruce Almighty. so yeah, it's been a LONG time!
I think the first one we ever saw was Elephant Dumbo Drop (I think that's the name of it!) at the drive in movie theater.

I can remember going. Since we were a family of 7, (5 kids) it was cheap entertainment for us. My parents would dress us in our jammies and we would play at the playground until the movies started. They would bring folding chairs and my 3 older siblings got to sit next to the car to watch. My brother and I were the babies and we had to sit in the back seat.
Heck, we usually fell asleep as the movies were starting anyways. Oh, and Mom would pop a bunch of popcorn at home for us all..........

O Man, O Man, O Man, I miss drive-ins!!!

In the early '70's my family used to go to to "Chevy Night" at the drive-in. The whole carload got in free if you were driving a Chevy. I remember seeing Gone With the Wind and The Sound of Music.

I used to LOVE the playground too.

When I was in my early 20's I used to go by myself - bring what I wanted to snack on and leave if I got bored.

I want drive-ins to come back to my area!

I've been going to the drive in movie with my family since I was 2 years old!!!

My favorite childhood memories invovle the drive in movies. My mom would get all four of us kids in our P.j's and I'd sit on the counter with a big bowl while mom was popping the popcorn. She's always tell us we were popping enough popcorn to feed an army. I thought that was so funny.

We owned this big boat of a car and all four of us kids would sit in the back with pillows and blankets and we'd all be asleep before the movie even started.

Now I continue that tradition with my son. We go once a month during the open season. Last movies I saw there was The Lake House, Super Man Returns and Posiden(sp??) all shown in one night.

It's been about 14 years since I've been there, but we still have one in the area. I used to go with Pat, my old roomie, and her boyfriend (now her husband). He had a pickup truck and we'd set up camp in the bed of it.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
It was ages ago, and the reason why is because i get irritated by people rustling on their popcorn or crisp bags, so now i buy the dvd's and sit in the comfort of my own home
