Ok, so anyone that reads the Crossing Over Forum knows that I lost my baby Sylvestor a few weeks ago. I couldn't help but feel lost after that. After going through petfinder, I found a kitty. I was instantly attracted to him, but there was no way I could meet him at the regular adoptions on the weekend. So, I emailed the lady that does the adoption, and she met me today at Petsmart so I could meet him. I feel in love. He's gorgeous, he's a lovebug, and he's PERFECT. I was expecting him to be a little uncomfortable, but when he got here, he sniffed around everything, got onto the bed, made biscuits and drooled everywhere, took a bath, and is now asleep. This all happened in an hour! I think he's going to be just fine. I just wanted to share him though.

These are his adoption pictures. He was actually rescued from an animal control shelter by this lovely lady, but was SO matted that he had to be shaved. His pictures are with all his fur. Enjoy!! I'm so happy and excited right now! Oh, and his name is Boots, but I haven't decided if I should or want to keep his name or not. He's about 4 years old and did I mention gorgeous?

Rosiemac, you've been so wonderful to me, thank you so much for that. I hadn't really intended on getting a cat so soon, but there was something about him. He reminds me of my little Sylvestor which is why I think I was so drawn to him. This isn't a bad thing to me though. I slept so wonderfully last night having Boots curled up next to me. I didn't really realize how much I had missed that. Everyone here is in love with him, except my sister, she's scared of him. He can get a little... aggressively playful sometimes, but I will post about that later if he doesn't calm down.

He's absolutely gorgeous! He looks like he's a Maine Coon or has a lot of Maine Coon in him.

I can't believe how quickly he took to you and your home. Obviously, you were destined to meet this kitty!

He's gorgeous! It sounds like a great match, I'm so happy you found each other.

I think the name Boots is cute, if he responds to it I'd keep it.

Thanks everyone! He's such a doll, and of course I took more pictures. Bear in mind, like I said the pictures I posted were his adoption photos. I took these today. He was shaved only a few weeks ago, so it looks.. funny, but you can tell he's gorgeous... well, at least to me, but I'm a little bias

What big feet you have!

See his legs? lol

You can see how he was shaved everywhere but his head, legs, and tail, but goodness what a tail!

As you can see, since it's his first full day here, no problems adjusting

I love this photo.

He's insanely happy. I'm happy too. I can't wait until his fur grows back! That way I can shower him with daily brushing and lovings, lol.

That's what were all here for chick, to see everyone through difficult times
And no it isn't a bad thing that Boots reminds you of Sylvestor, if anything Sylvestor drew you to Boots so he could help ease your pain

I'm beginning to think he did. They both kinda have the same quirks about them, but Sylvestor was a little more laid back than this guy. I can't get over his haircut though. He looks like a gimp, but my sister says I should keep him shaved. I said "LOOK AT HIS PICTURES. He doesn't deserve to be shaved. That coat of his needs to come on and show the world it's potential."

Oh my is he ever gorgeous(shaved & all)!!
I do think that our beloved ones who have passed on send us ones to comfort us.

I think it is so cool to watch the hair grow back. You should take pictures once a week so you can look back & watch the hair grow in. Although, the haircut makes it look like he has chicken legs!
Chico(one of my fosters) has thin little legs, I call him Chicken legs.

Congrats on the new kid! He seems to be devastated by being brought into your home. Spoil him well & keep the pics coming!
