Im bummed, I'm about 90% sure that Momma is pregnant. I had my male neutered over a month ago. I told my boyfriend not to let them be together untill a month after his neuter. I was planning on having her spayed once the babies were fully weaned. But now I might be having more babies.

I'm not sure how far along she is, but you can see her sides starting to bulge out and she is eating more food then I have ever seen her eat. She is still nursing her 7 week old kittens, but not nearly as much as she used to.

Should I get an xray to see if she is or not? Id love to get her spayed if she isnt pregnant and i could do that in a couple weeks.

I cant believe she is probly pregnant agian. I'll take some pics of her so you cans can see how she is gainging weight.

Man,Im gonna kill my boyfriend, If she is pregnant, I know its cause he let them hangout cause i never did.UGH!

You can have her spayed if she is pregnant or not. It might be a good idea to have her spayed if she isn't too far along. Your vet will let you know how far is too far.

*hugs* Sounds like you have a particularly fertile male.
Since it's early, you could still have her spayed, but I completely understand if you don't want to. It was suggested to me when Sneakers got pregnant and I was uncomfortable with it since she was showing (among other issues that I won't get into).

It will up to you as to whether you have her spayed at this point, if you choose to allow her to continue in her pregnancy, then you need to set her up again in a room with no access outdoors until she can be spayed.

If she is pregnant, I'll let her have them. She is a purebred papered Bengal, but then I would have her spayed immediatly after they are weaned.(the dad is too)

Hopefully though she isnt pregnant in which case she will be getting spayed in a couple weeks.

I took her to work and the tech took some xrays. They were incunclusive. I wasnt sure what to look for. Everything looked normal except for all these werid spots all over,it wasnt poop or food, she had pooped right before the x rays. You could see her stomach and on the bottom and around a sied there were these blobls of spotted like stuff. Didnt look like food or poop, infact I never saw an xray like it before.

When the doctor came I had him palpate and he only said"its a definite maybe." So I guess we will have to wait and see. I wish I knew for sure though.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Two births so close together...

Here's hoping she is not pregnant again. Luckily, as dad is neutered now, if she IS pregnant, your bf can't make it happen again after by letting them hang out together.

how far along would she be if she was? x-rays don't show anything till 45-50 days since the bones aren't formed. but would think the vet would be able to feel something......... normally by 26-30 days a vet should be able to tell.....

hers hoping she isn't!

I don't know what her being a purebred Bengal has to do with anything?

I hope she's not pregnant again, for her own health. I'd be soooo mad at my boyfriend for letting them be together, has he admitted it? Good luck with your little princess, I hope everything turns out well either way!

Awe,

That's unfortunate that your kitty may be pregnant again.

I don't mean to frighten you, but when I adopted my Yen, her past owners let her get pregnant whenever(pretty much) she went into heat and her litters are always sickly. The last litter, the kittens were sickly and did not survive.

You need to do the right think for your cat. It sounds like you care a lot about her and have tried to take precautions against her getting preggo, but you sound sort of reluctant to get her spayed because she is a purebred.

I am not sure what her being purebred matters. If anything that is the reason she should not be bred to just a any random male cat. I would spay her right away. It can be really dangerous for her to have two litters so close together.

in her defense it isn't any random male cat. the male is also a purebred papered bengal. She bought them from a breeder that did not tell her the female was preg. when she bought her.

I understand what you are saying but since it was said "any random" male cat. I just wanted to clear that up.

I think IMO she should be spayed-no matter what. I just dont think it would be fair to HER to have kittens back to back like that. I know having her spayed(if shes pg will be tough) I had to do it about a month ago with one of my cats...but I knew it was for the better. Please keep us posted, and good luck.

When i said she was a purebred i just meant that at least she isnt just a random dom shorthair. I dont want her to be pregnant, and in no way did i encourage it. My vet looked at her and he doesnt know, even if i were to spay her i would have to wait for her milk to dry up and the babies are weaned, that would be in two weeks and by then if she were pregnant i think she would be too far along. As of now if she is pregnant she is probley 3 weeks along, add two weeks and thats 5 weeks, is that to late to spay?

Anyway I did take some pics of her but you cant really see what i mean about her stomach, I got to get a good shot of her standing up on something.I wish you guys could feel her tummy through the moniter...lol.
But I'll post them anyways

Here she is nursing her babies...she is such a good Momma

Sydney...I know this is a hard choice to make...and it will ultimately be up to you and your vet should your vet determine she is indeed pregnant.

Wow her kittens are big! And adorable! Have you found good homes for them all yet? Don't forget to charge at least 25$ unless they're close friends or family members.

I hope she's not pregnant again, that would be so hard for you. Whether or not it's too late to spay is really your vet's and your own choice... there are no laws governing when too late would be.
