I had to do it. He has been getting sick left and right with fur balls. He just had to much hair he could not even handle it. Well he has not choked up one fur ball since the new doo! He looks a little funny but I think he is happy with it.

Hmm. He has the same look on his face that my son had when I dragged him for a haircut last week.

BTW...where in Clearwater are you? I am right across the bay! That's the Hooters on Hillsborough on your site, isn't it?

Hi Deb25.

I am within a mile of Countryside mall. Not to far at all.

Poor little shorn sheep!

It makes his head look huge. But I'm sure he is much happier without all the choking and matting.

Poor baby, but he will feel so much better! (Sorry - I did laugh at the before and after shots)

He looks kinda cute! I'm glad his furballs have gone away ......

I think he's about as mad as a flea after a flea dip! And he's a bit embarassed that the muscle tone isn't so good in the abs any more!

Awwwww! He looks so cute! You do what you have to to keep them happy!

Poor kitty! He looks mad and confused. At least he won't have any more fur balls.

 Very true. The fur help hide his lazyness.

WoeII, The tummy always hangs as they get older--but it sneaked up on me with the first cat I had that long. I called the vet's office and asked for an emergency appointment. They fit me in somehow, and in a panic I told the Dr. that Blacky's abdomen had collapsed! I was so sure something drastic was wrong!
I give the man a lot of credit; he did not laugh at me; he just assured me that his own cat had a tummy just like Blacky's, and they called him "old double-belly!" Believe it or not, I was too relieved to be embarassed!

We call Sugey's tummy her "dingleball".

Ivo's is called the Buddha belly. Since her stomach is white and her body black, when she runs it's really easy to see it wiggle back and forth.

I have a friend that had two that she had to do the same thing to every year! The one just loved it! She would prance her naked butt around after she was shaved! She was proud of her naked butt!

I love fat pads!! All of my cats have them and now that Sampson has been shaved into a little lion his is visable too!

I like to poke their fat pads when they're laying down. They get so angry but it's adorable. It looks like a little beer belly. Too cute!!

I think Tigger has a fat pad, but she has to much hair to tell.........

OMG! What a hoot this is. I had to laugh, but I promise, it was with respect and love for your babe. He sure is a beauy, before AND after!
BTW - it is nice to meet you and your feline beauty!

Molly has a chubby little belly, too. When I first got her, she was about 10 weeks old. As soon as that belly started, I thought, oh no, she has worms. The vet assured me that she just likes to eat.

When she was shaved to be spayed, her belly was even more obvious. And she loves to lay on her back.

Now your kitty won't have to worry about hairballs. Even if he has lost some of his cool factor.
