Folks, I know I'm not the least bit artistic. I have a few professional artists in my family, who've told me I should stick to doing dead cartoon mice (the only thing I can draw). I hate asking people for favors, which includes making siggies for me, so I got some software and have been experimenting. Some of my siggies are okay, and others I can just trash.
Do you feel "put upon" if I (or others like me) send you siggies you might use? It gets kind of boring to always use your own cat(s), but I hate the thought that somebody might feel obligated to use one of my "creations" simply because I was playing around, so as not to waste the software. Does that annoy you?

I would be fine with it! I love looking at Siggys everyone has created, and I can't see anyone minding being sent a signature!

I love siggys! I would find an unsolicited siggy a suprise, much like receiving a card or something along those lines.

My only concern is, would the person who created the siggy have their feelings hurt if the recipient didn't use the siggy right away, or only used it for a few days? I have often wondered that.

I hear you! I get very sick of making Abby sigs. I can't begin to tell you how many I have made unsolicited for poor Lei

You can take a crack at Abby any time you like

I have hung on to my old siggy because it has my dear Fred in it. It has been 10 months, and I still cannot bring myself to take it down. I have a beautiful new kitty (Fluffy, newer than the siggy) that is not in the siggy, though, and it would be nice to have her there.

I hate to say it, but I adore that photo of Fred, because he looks like one PO'd kitty! I'd hate to see him disappear from your siggy.

There is no reason why you can't have a siggie that includes both Fluffy and Fred

I agree! Wouldn't it be possible to incorporate Fluffy into a siggy along with the others, including dear Fred
?

Right! Get cracking, Karen! Fred should maintain his presence here, but Fluffy should also be included!

I wouldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t mind at all since I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t have one. Donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t have the talent or the software to do my own.

Heck Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d be willing to have one with the dead cartoon mice in it.

Then again you donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t even know me. But you did ask.

Tanya, Ryan's manipulations of your siggy are cracking me up! Let's think up some means of *perfect revenge"! He's now forewarned!

You can email photos (as large and clear as possible) to any/all of us! We love the practice. If you have any preferred colors, sayings, scripts, etc., any instructions are welcome!

Why me?
I thought you were looking to make unsolicited sigs for people? WE can both make one I guess. We need pictures though

Kelly/ClixPix is also going to be all over this thread. She has been looking for practice making sigs.

Your siggies are better than mine, not to mention your photos. At least most of mine are no longer of walls and thermostats! Fwan has been my "victim", as I managed to take lots of photos of Teufel amd Kaylee while they visited. Kelly is an excellent photographer - ooh - let's get her involved, too!

You REALLY need to stop knocking your sigs
I think you should make one also.

Getting unexpected siggies is always a wonderful surprize. I plan on asking for some software this year for Christmas so I can start trying to design some of my own.

I'm a bit paranoid, because my paternal grandmother, her niece (first cousin once removed), and my older brother were all "professionals", and my niece has won all sorts of awards for her (published) caricatures.

We could do a competition to give everyone practice. Someone could provide some pictures and a theme. Then anyone who wants can create something. Then we take a look at them.

As long as we set some expectations to avoid hurt feelings because the kitty owner may not use them all. How about that?

I generally have enough of them to do that I don't have the time for unsolicited sigs, but as Miss Mew found out, occassionally I like a photo posted and will practise on it (although usually wallpaper sized graphics rather than sigs as I have plenty of practise making them)
