How do I groom

A kitten with a seriously kinked tail? His tail looks like a paper clip! I can't even comb out the tail fur properly! His name is Mocha, is chocolate with seal points and is around 3 months old and he'll be neutered at the end of this month. Because of his wonderful tail and great personality, I've decided that he will be my Household Pet Show cat (as opposed to my abys) so I need to groom him! I just can't figure out how to dry his tail!

Can anyone help?

Is Mocha a long or short hair? Sounds like semi-long on long if you can't comb him right. I would use a blow dryer on the tail part and just get a small comb (like a flea comb) to get the tighter areas of fur.

I've seen people groom the longhair Japanese Bobtails and they just use a small comb in and around the pom-pom tail part.

Yup, he's semi long - it was an oops! preganancy, mommy is now spayed (miscalculation of age on the part of me and my vet!). I'll put up pics tommorrow if I can get him to sit still! His first show will be in September and he has 3 sibs - all with either major or minor kinks (just a little hook at the tip!).
