I'm not a genius. Just someone who's a little too obsessed with her cats.

Yeah, the cat dancer looks like such a dud toy but, trust me, Felix will love it. Also, it's pretty inexpensive (around $3).

I'm getting excited for you about your forthcoming "delivery." He's a beautiful kitten!!

haha, yeah I'm going to take like a zillion pics the day I get him! I also want to buy him one of those automatic water fountains...I've heard great things about them.

Definitely reconsider! I have never met a cat that didn't go absolutely insane over the cat dancer! When mine wear out, I always make sure I have another one waiting in the wings!

I'm going to go get one tomorrow
Any other toys other than the cat dancer and "Da Bird" I should look at? I'm also thinking about getting the blitz turboscratcher.

I also forgot to mention, do you guys think the litterbox(s) I bought for him are big enough? I got him these for the time being "Kitty's wonderbox". The dimensions are 17 inches long, 4 inches deep, and 12.5 inches wide.

Since he's still a baby kitten, I would think any size would be fine for now, but I'm not a litterbox expert so I'll let the others weigh in on that one...

The litterbox my cats have is HUGE and the problem with that is that it is difficult to clean. I actually have to take it to the apartment complex car wash to thoroughly wash it and rinse it out.
This means that I don't end up changing out the litter as often as I should (of course, I do scoop everday).

If I think of any other toys, I'll let you know. I'd start saving up for the cat tree, though. Did you find any deals on Ebay? You might also see if your local Walmart has cat trees. I know one person on this site got a decent cat tree for about 25 bucks at Walmart.

Maybe you should start a thread: "Where can I get an extremely cheap cat tree?" Just a thought.

I'm getting so excited about Felix's arrival. He's going to be one spoiled kitty-cat!

I'll tell you one very inexpensive toy than my Bengal's love. It's those crinkle balls. Bengal's love to play fetch, and those crinkle balls are perfect for them to fetch and easy for them to bring back to you, not to mention the fact that when you crinkle them up, they make a noise that makes my Bengal's go crazy. My Simba is totally and completely obsessed with those silly little balls.

Here is the one I want. I like it because it's tall and it comes with those dangly toy thingies, and also theres a little hole in the house-like box where she can stick hear head out and look out of the window. Any other good ones you guys would recommend?

I still suggest those crinkle balls. They are very cheap, and Bengal's love them. When mine get tired of other toys, they always go back over and over to those crinkley balls.

That looks pretty fancy!! I'm sure Felix will love it! No, more than that -- he's going to be completely gaga over it!

Felix
I was really torn between names. I thought about chester, and alfie, but I'm not really sure why I ended up naming him Felix. I was just playing with the turbo scratcher for about twenty minutes earlier, trying to see how many times I can get the ball to make a full rotation with one spin...I can see why cats love it
I'm gonna order a clicker right now too, it's called I-click, hopefully it's a good one.

You're going to train him with the clicker? Good for you! I've just been too lazy to try it with my cats but I think it's a good idea.

You may have to hide the turbo-scratcher at night, by the way... otherwise you may have trouble sleeping!

Yeah I saw a show on tv that involved dogs and clickers, and wondered if I could do the same with cats. So I ran a quick google search and stumbled upon This PDF Guide on teaching Bengals tricks with a clicker. It looks awesome and I would love to have a cat that knows how to kiss and do all that cool stuff
I'm gonna have to wait a little bit before I introduce him to the clicker though, I mean he's going to be stressed enough, the last thing he's going to want is me clicking in his face

That Turbo Scratcher is fun stuff. I played with it for 20 minutes!! I was surprised that the ball was so heavy. I promised myself the clicker would be the last thing I was going to buy him because I want to leave room for occasions, like christmas and his birthday. I mean if I buy him EVERY toy then what's left to get him, right? I think for christmas I'm getting him one of those circulating fountains though...but shh, don't tell him that.

an ice cube in Iowa...
I second the cat dancer toy!!!! I haven't had a cat yet that didn't LOVE it!!! All it is, is a chicken-wire-looking-thing with a chunk of cardboard at the end!!!! Simulates an insect flying around. I'll tell you, Felix will go crazy for it.

Oh, and I love the bird-feeder idea too with a window perch. Must try! Another thing I love, is the Catspa...it's like a little sensory center for cats, and you can stash catnip in it...they will spend quite a while grooming, chewing, rubbing themselves on this thing...my kitties really like it.

BTW, Felix is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! What a handsome fellow he will become!

I got the Catspa but I don't think my cats have ever used it once.
But, then, my cats don't really respond to catnip so I think that's part of the problem.

I agree that Felix is GORGEOUS!! Can't wait to see more photos of him!
