I don't know the "brand" - I just get a nice large size from WalMart. When we move, I'll have to get one of the covered pan tops as where the pan will be kept the dog will have access in the area.

Someone posted a cool litter pan box they made to keep the pan in and the dogs out. We may build one of those in the future if our dog gives us problems.

I would just get a large size pan. Doesn't really matter what kind IMO.

There's no place like home
I have all kinds, but mine actually like big rubbermaid type bins. I actually buy the sterilite ones because they are the least expensive. It isn't so hard on the budget when they get to that grungy point and you can throw them away.

With all my cats, I have some that prefer covered bins but the heaviest used ones in the house are all open top bins.

Another vote for big Sterlite storage containers- the sides are high to discourage litter scratched out. the bottoms are smooth for easy scooping, they are cheap, and easy to clean.

I had to remove the flap too. I realized that Ruby was holding it in until I took the top off to clean it. I don't know if it was the flap or the fact that I used Goo Gone to get the sticker off and it had a strong citrus smell.
