is it possible for a mother queen to have a favourite in her litter?
molly is a proud, very good mother to her 6 week old litter of 4 kittens.
we have 2 torti girls and 2 black and white boys. one of the kits looks identical to mum, same markings , same build , the same face its remarkable. he could be her clone.
he was the first to wean, and the first to use the litter try. in fact he is really ahead in his developement than the rest of his litter.
dont get me wrong all 4 are spot on target.
the thign i have noticed thougth is mum is always callign him away from the litter to come and play, and she is more chirpy and protective over him then the other of her kittens.
yesterday he even escaped from his enclosure, egged on by his mum who was calling him out.
he is very sure of him self, and he always strides out, tail held fully errect with his ears pricked taking the world on
there is no doubt in my mind that he is moillys faveroute.
she still washes and plays with the rest of her litter, but it always looks liek a rushed attempt . she activly seems to enjoy nursing this one little guy.
what do you think?
