Update on SKittles

The older vet guy there is a total bugger. He is like a speed doc to me. He is in and out. Mine sits with me talks about my pets and any conceres he is a ton more caring even how he treats the,. I just hope Clark calls back..

She does seem to have small contractions and I do think it is heavier then last night but not too bad. She is settling down some...

Momof3rugratz you must be going out of your mind , I know I would be. Do you thinks she'll have the babies today?

Dont you think taking her in today will just cause her more stress? It seems like she is doing fine and not having any problems.

Yes I think the same way so am waiting for my reg vet to call. If he doesnt I will go in at 3:30 but like he even said there is nothing to do for her if she isnt running a fever or showing signs she is in distress. Mom you need to realise first stages of labor can last 36 hours to 48 LOL

On the one hand, you can just wait it out and let nature take its course. But since you do have concerns, and a good vet, letting them get a peek at her to reassure you is a great idea. It would be great if they could do and ultrasound if they think she may be having trouble.

Most likely she is just doing what kitties do...but on the off chance there could be a problem...and knowing it is her first litter, and having so many kittens...I think you are doing the right thing to stay in close contact with the vet.

Ok talked to Clark and I canceled my Appt... Like he said if I do not see hard panting without a baby then it is good. But if there was panting no baby in ASAP..He said she could be in the early stage which is in a away good because she has so many in there the first stage is preparing her and if it has been 24 hour then she isnt geting a shock to her system. She is taking her time. He said keep with the temp check and if it rises to 101 go in asap he said it isnt a fever but a rises that will alert me to danger. He said if anything just bring her in and I will be squeezed in unless it is emergency.... He did say on Thurday he isnt sure if we could hold out because of how big she is getting. He said Thursday is 2 weeks since last xray that it might be a good idea to do another one and then take the next steps. He realizes I do not want the c-section and said he will try to avoid it but sometimes we cant. If I have any worries just bring her in. .. He said relax and just be with her. Keep her calm. He said he bets she will have them just she is taking her time

I am noticing she keeps going to lay on the tile or watching out the window... I wonder if she is waiting on something before giving birth... I hope it isnt the father.. She would have a long wait that male is a dead beat. He knocks her up and leaves her to care for all the babies alone... I bet he has knocked up half the block..

Our Hope kitty was the same way, She had small contractions for almost 2 days & then there they were...the 1st kitten was born at 9:11 & the 5th one was born at 10:41 with no problems except 2 being born at the same time....lol which wasn't a big deal..

I think Skittles is playing match-maker....just wants you to keep calling that nice vet!!!!!!!Would'nt it be great to have a vet in the family.......she's workin' it......

Yaaay!!! Thank you momof3rugrats!!! If there is sound(((which I hope not cuz I sounded REALLY retarded)))) then just don't pay attention to it!! LOL After all, I had never seen a kitten being born before, so I was repeating myself...my friends make fun of me and keep telling me NEAT cuz I kept saying that...LOL...Let's hope it inspires Skittles to get 'r' done!!! It's still uploading...***SIGH***....okay...done...hope this works!!!!
