I can remember when Elvis became big, my grandma would tell me how alot of people were offended by his way of swiveling his hips, the way he danced, etc.
Of course tons of people thought he was hot too!!
Yeah but Taylor Hicks and Elvis are not even close to the same IMO.

I hope so! He was so cool during his hometown visit.
On the other hand:
She acts like a spoiled little brat!
Her home trip was BORING.
She says she doesn't talk to her parents on the phone.
She whines when the judges say anything negative about her.
She practically cheered when Elliott got voted off.
I will vote for 3 hours next week to try to help Taylor beat her.

But Kat is a better singer than Taylor. And that is what this competition is about..singing. Taylor does not have a good range, he always sounds the same. I do enjoy him, but I really do think Kat is more of an Idol.

I think Taylor is going to win, but I think he's going to sink like Justin and Ruben. He's not contemporary, and his "dancing" doesn't come through on the radio which is apparently a big part of his appeal.
Taylor just bothers me. Is was too much like a show you would see in Las Vegas. I want Kat to win because I might actually buy her cds and stuff but I know for sure I wouldn't buy Taylors.
Thats how I feel too - I think Kat is more of the "American Idol" that will get out there and sell cds - on the other hand, I don't think Taylor will sell many cds - your right - he does seem like you'd see him in a show in Vegas!
Sure he puts on a good show, but what about when he's recording? I just don't think he'll succeed as an American Idol, IMO.
I'm just mad that he's made it farther than Chris or Mandissa did- they both could sing 1000's times better than Taylor does.

I hope Taylor wins, just becuase I really don't like Katharine.
I haven't bought any of the idols cd's and don't plan on starting, once this season is over i'll be looking forward to the next one

I like his singing better than I do Katharine's. I know nothing about range.
It's my preference.
I would never buy anything she put out.
I'd go see Taylor. I love Joe Cocker, and Taylor reminds me of that.
He has been in the Top Group since the beginning.
Kat has had 4 bad weeks.....well, bad in the sense that she did not do as well as the others. IDOL is the whole package to me, and she does not have it.
I think this is going to get very intersting now

It's amazing how the opinions vary on here.........I think Taylor is the best and would buy his cds/go to his concerts in a heartbeat. That's one great thing about TCS. Not only do we all have fantastic kits, but we all have great opinions! Now, I think they should start an American Kitty Idol contest!!! Who want's to enter their kit????
