I KNOW!
I liked it up until that point.
It seemed like the author got bored with the plot and just decided to wrap it up real quick.

I thought the same thing with The Grudge and Exorcism of Emily Rose. I liked the movies, and then....nothing, they were over and it made me think that they were very dumb!

I'm ashamed to have seen that one too. Fortunately, it wasn't my pick either.

It's hard to catch up on all the movies I don't like mentioned in this thread.
Luckily, a lot of them I haven't seen though.
The most recent crappy movies I saw were serenity (crap!) and the devil's rejects.

A close second is "Mars Attacks".
Obviously you haven't seen Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

Keep in mind that "Mars Attacks" was intended to be a campy send-up of SF movies and shouldn't be taken as a serious story.

The one film which most of us agree has supplanted Plan Nine as the worst movie of all time is Travolta's "Battlefield Earth." It's amazing that so much money could be spend on a movie with absolutely nothing to recommend it. The story made no sense, the acting was horrid, the physics couldn't work most of the time, and there were enough logical holes in the plot to let an ocean drain out.

I know... what was WITH that movie... and then it caught on in all the Hot Topic stores and if you watch the extras on BatMan Returns there's a short clip with him in it. Ugg! *shudders*

I didn't like this movie... but I was scared by it
Fh tells me it's better if you are sitting in a dark theater and someone clutches your arm every time the music gets loud (like a girlfriend

Did you see Shall We Dance? I thought she was pretty good in that one... but then I really loved it cause it was a dance movie.

Also GOOD MOVIE ALERT!!!!! I just got back from Take the Lead with Antonio Bandaras and *whoo* it's awesome. He's hot, the plots good... the tango sizzles and you can just feel the rhythm creeping up from your toes.

I agree about Titanic, though. Talk about overrated! Agree about War of the Worlds too. Whoever told Tom Cruise he could act should be shot. Eyes Wide Shut was awful too. Oh, and Reign of Fire? What a waste of 2 hours of my life! And I know I'll get flamed for this...but all of the Star Trek movies. Just....bad.
Eyes Wide Shut was terrible. I think I mentally blocked it. I was a teenager when I saw it, and I STILL thought it sucked.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
Hmm... everyone seems to be going with more recent movies... save a few titles popping up.

I second: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
And I add:
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (right up there at the top... trust me, it's not worth the rental fee)
Titanic (also mentioned before, but hey...)
Any and all of the movies aimed at teen/college boys
Ditto on T. Cruise movies... except A Few Good Men... that one is worth it... the rest are crap.
I'll second (or was it 'third') O Brother Where Art Thou. I love Clooney... have for years... but I stopped the DVD halfway through. It was another that's not worth the rental price.
Reign of Fire ... I stopped the DVD about 20 minutes in... put it back in the envelope and dropped it back in the mail that day (thank God for Netflix)
here's another I stopped a half hour into: Bandits. with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton. I like Bruce... tolerate BBT, but I hated the movie... what a waste of a rental fee (didn't have Netflix yet)

For those who wonder why some mention the animated movies: these people probably have kids. I have friends who hate the animated movies because (enter child's name here) insists on watching said movie a ZILLION times ... in a row.

Heidi: Star Trek movies? ALL of them? Hey now... don't be mean... we don't have to be mean (someone figure out what movie that came from... heh heh heh). Granted, I hated Wrath of Khan (#2), but LOVED #4, the one where they go back in time... you know, the one with the whales... campy, but 100X better than most of the others. the one with both Kirk and Picard was decent too...

LOL. I agree. I have both of them on video. I watch them and laugh at how bad they are. Can be quite a mood lifter.

Don't have kids, but I did have a roommate in college who insisted on watching Aladdin every flippin' night, usually while whining to her long-distance boyfriend about how much she miiiiiiissssssed him and llllllooooooovvvvvveeeeesssss him.
Hate that movie to this day! Though I can't actually blame the movie for that.

Amanda, I don't mean to insult the Trekkies...I just can't stand any of the Star Trek shows or movies. Ok, ok, I'll admit that TNG wasn't *that* bad. Probably part of the problem is that my husband, while not a full-fledged Trekkie (i.e. he doesn't dress up for the conventions, doesn't actually speak Klingon, etc.), does like the movies and shows and therefore must own each of the 20 versions of the movies that have been released on DVD and forced me to watch them no matter how much I told him that I DON'T LIKE STAR TREK! He's since given up on that venture because it wasn't pleasant for either of us...

Heidi - this Trekkie forgives you for not liking Star Trek!

I 4th Brother Where Art Thou? OMG, what was the point of that movie? It was like they couldn't decide to make it a comedy or drama. I don't know, it was just too weird for me. Liked that song they sung though.

Anchorman - would've walked out of that one but I didn't want to leave my friend there.

Highlander 2 - by far the most offensive sequel I've ever seen. Totally lame grab for a sequel audience. Awful, stupid plot and acting; just terrible. And to top it off, we came out of the theatre to find my sister's bike had been stolen!

Eyes Wide Shut - wish mine had been firmly shut through that one!

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - everyone raved about this one, so we rented it. We were both stunned by how bad it was, could not figure out why everyone recommended it so highly. Perhaps they were bitter from the experience of having sat through it, and wanted others to feel their pain?

Brave New World - saw this for free, and it still cost too much. The whole audience was laughing and joking about how bad it was.

28 Days Later (awesome story line but they just couldn't pull it off in a way that appealed to me)
I watched about half that movie on tv and actually enjoyed it. Now I'm really ticked off 'cos I don't know what happened in the end and will have to go rent it.

Talk Radio (I'm surprised my girlfriend didn't slap me after it was over)
The previews made it look so good!

2001: A Space Odyssey (?????)

Resident Evil
It was OK but I feel it didn't follow the video game enough. Now, RE2 was MUCH better than the first one.

I didn't understand the concept of Napolean Dynamite when I saw it, but now do so I want to see it again.
