I am so excited for Sundance's first show although I know that he probably won't get any finals as he is only 4 months and most the time the ragdoll kittens that get the finals are older (around 7- 8 months)because there color has come in better and they are bigger.

Hope both of you have fun. Look at it as a learning experience (for you and the kitten). Do NOT go to the show expecting anything. You have no clue as to how he will react/behave, etc. Go for the fun of it, not for the prizes.

You'll get an idea (1) if he's quality to be shown as champion (2) if he likes showing (3) if YOU like showing. And you can sit and learn the mechanics and what to look for in your breed. Since you only have the kitten to show, spend time talking and learning from other breeders. Let them critique your kitten to see how good of show quality he really is.

well I am back from my first show day 1 and so far he has gotten all 1st in colors and 2 3rd in divisions. There were 6 ragdolls only 1 of his color and 4 in his division. He did very well for his first show as the breeder says. I have been to 3 other shows and have seen that the older kittens do better. When he gets older he will go into the alter class and my breeder says he will probably just florish in that.

Day 2:
He didn't get any finals today either but he got 5 best in colors and 3 3rd in divisions. Oh ya and everyone suckered me into doing the junior achievers ring even though I am not a member and it is my first show and I got 2nd of of 5. I got a ribbon for that.

I believe that his next show will be on May 7th but I already signed him up for the May 20th show he will definetly be in those two. They are both in Arcadia, CA.

Sorry about that didn't realise I was signed in as my dad. But this is princeegrl.

21st in Arcadia. It is a TICA cat show.
