You know it's funny about her waiting for the kids to go to sleep because (our babies are 1 week today) and it seemed like Ethel waited until what is usually our quiet time...we laid down to watch People's Court after the contractors arrived and she got busy!

If you get stressed. LEAVE THE ROOM and remind yourself that she can do it on her own!
Just keep checking in...I was ready to hypervenilate!

Good luck!

I know it can be hard to wait, but the calmer you stay, the more it will help her. Is she staying in her box? Every Momma is different, some will want the constant attention, while others would prefer to go it alone.
Does she seem to be straining with any of the contractions?
I will be looking for updates!!

she acting very strange like when this all started she came and got me to open the door to my room then she went right to the nest so i sat awhile with her then put the kids to bed and watched american idol then checked on her i was rubbing the baby bump for about 5 mins and when i went to stop she like (it was wierd) almost grabed me to keep going so i stayed another min or 2 and felt some contractions . I just went in there and felt a couple really hard ones . I dont think she likes it when i leave and when my hubby (who now likes this forum lol ) opens the door to check on progress she looks at me like who the hells voice is that . I love my cat even in labor shes all additude @-(-- so i am just letting her be for awhile. I know i might seem alittle obcessed its just i had a cat when I was younger who went way over due and when she finnally went into labor she couldn't diolate and one of the babies got stuck in the birth canal and we had to have an emergency c-section and hisorectomy cause all the babies die in her so I am just so worried it would happen again. Well i'll keep you posted I tevod House so i am gonna watch now R.I.P Hammie

my tush off because that's how women are when they are in labor! As Gaye says, Breathe! When Ethel had the first one he was feet first so I helped because I was panicked. She seemed to want me there but onee he came she was so busy that she didn't seem to need me so I left the room. Her babies were all born 30 minutes apart and I remember I was EXHAUSTED when "we" were done. It was so amazing! It's only been a week and I am ready to do it all over!

Can't wait to hear!

Wow...I feel like you should be out of breath after reading your post, LOL! I agree with Lisa...Take a deep breath and try to relax! It's going to be ok!

Sounds like she is in the beginning stages and contractions are coming on strong now. Should be any time now. Please keep us updated! Good luck!

sorry i haven't updated lately I been out all day. So I thought this morning I would wake up to find Missy snuggled up to her babies (Nope) nothing.
She has been in her nest all day and she feels like she is stiil having contractions but all she is doing is purring like crazy. So I went online to a couple of cat birth sites and read labor can take up to 12 to 24 hrs ? Is that right?
