My Buddah sarted having contractions about 33 hours ago. They subsided for about 3 hours yesterday afternoon and started up again in the evening. They are not as intense as before. The babies are still moving a lot. Mom seems tired, but not stressed. She gets up periodically, goes to the litter box, or cleans herself, sits and looks at me, then goes back to her bed/box and sleeps in between contractions... It's her first litter. I've never been thru this with a cat before. I've been told I'm worrying too much. Please Help!!

If you definitly seen contractions I suggest you take her or atleast call a vet immediately..
They would be able to give something to induce it,

First...welcome to TCS....this link has some very good information contained in it:

If it were me, I would give the vet office a quick call and ask them if they believe she needs to be seen....I'm not sure how long contractions can take or whether you can have a long birthing time.

Also, if mom isn't confined indoors only, now is the time to ensure that she remains indoors only until the kittens are weaned and she can be safely spayed. Cats can become pregnant again as early as a week after giving birth.
