Well... here's Harley!

We adopted this little devil a year ago this coming July. John's mothers cat had gotten pregnant and we had decided to bring one of the 3 in the litter home. I lined them all up in a row, and I figured whatever one was the most loving and playful with me, I would bring home! Well, here came this little runt, with a wobbly little head, meowing like crazy and came right to me as the others ran in different directions. Of course, my heart melted for this little guy

There was another person that really wanted him, but I knew that it would not be a good loving home and he would eventually end up on the streets

The other 2 went to real loving homes - as did little Harley.

He's my little momma's boy, thats for sure! Even though he's not a little runt anymore - we never thought he'd end up growing up to be a 9lb big boy!

He's always been an active little guy - but now he's just my little terror, that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world!

Just a little runt!

Tiny terror

Growing up so fast!

And I was secretly hoping Harley would make it to this thread! He's such a cutie-pie!!

Thanks everyone for posting your babies & their stories!

(I'll probably end up deleting my commentary posts eventually

These babies are all soooo beautiful. Pictures of Harley and Reilly always make my day. They are both so beautiful!
This is a bad thread though - you're right - it's like talking (bragging) about our children. So - here are my kids:
Peanut, shelter rescue. Was the runt of the litter weighing in at only 1.2lbs at 8wks old. I was in the shelter adopting another when she was brought in with her brothers and sisters. The lady opened the top of the box and she stuck her little tiny head up and had the biggest eyeballs. She still is a tiny little thing today (that still hasn't grown into her eyeballs). She is very voicetrous and loves to scream "meow" to make sure all can here her. She is the cuddly one. Her favorite pasttime is bringing me clean clothes from the cellar (daily) and dropping them off in our rooms. (Watching a little 7lb tabby drag a pair of adult jeans upstairs is so comical).

Snickers, shelter rescue. She was the one I was adopting when Peanut was surrendered. She's a beautiful Calico. I love her colors. Her back leg is the most unusual - the full leg is orange tabby. Snickers is now a very big girl. She's 15lbs and loves to show off her belly to have it rubbed. She is a bit skittish - but not around us. She has the best "curious" expressions. It makes us laugh so much. Her favorite pasttime is sleeping in the bathroom sink.

They are both 1 1/2 yrs old and best of friends:

Zoey:
My senior girl. 12years old. Also a shelter rescue. Brought her home after my husband specifically said - no cats. He came home from golfing and we were going to break it to him slowly, then Zoey came out and starting winding around his legs. He said - please tell me that is not a cat - but he couldn't help it - he fell in love with her and even though we are divorced now, Zoey comes running when he is at the house. She's a bit moody and only likes to be pet on "her time" and will let you know when that time is not right. I make sure to give her the extra treatment she deserves since she has seniority. Zoey really doesn't have a favorite pasttime other than sleeping.

Pebbles, shelter rescue. She is my holy terror. She's the baby, but still runs the house. It's quite funny though cause she tries to be so tough, but she is incredibly clumsy. Her favorite pasttime is diving into the tub while there is still water in it and performing "fly-bys" (out of nowhere, 100mph, jumps and lands only on the humans in the room, never touches any other surface, then gone - like a flash). I think the thing that's amazed us most about Pebs is the changes in her color. Pebby will be 1year at the end of the month!

Lastly, Molly. Our newest shelter rescue. She's 1 1/2 years. She is the biggest lovebug, but we are having a bit of difficulty getting her to come out of her shell. She love people, but is a bit timid around my other cats. Hopefully time will change that. Molly's favorite pasttime is waking you in the middle of the night by whacking you across the face with her paws.

My previous family members. (RIP):
Snoozie, lived a long, full 17year life. Shelter rescue as well. She was a great hunter. My parents had 10 acres and she loved to hunt. With a very heavy heart we decided to have her PTS this past fall to help maintain her dignity. She was failing in many health ways.

Snoozer & Puffer:
Lived long lives, but not long enough. Both were around 13-14 years found passed away in our home 2 weeks apart. That occured in the early 80's before a lot of today's medical issues were known and the vet suspected feline lukemia, but I guess we will never know. Both were rescues as well. Not from shelters, but both found on the side of a road at two different times.

We also had a few others, but I've posted enough here for now I think for now

I was just trying to picture her dragging up a pair of jeans....you really need to catch that on film!!!!!! The only thing mine steal and drag around is underwear...and usually they leave it right on the couch, middle of the floor etc when i get home from work!

If I could I would - I have only actually seen it a couple of times, most drop off occur in the middle of the night or when I'm gone. It is so funny though!

Heres my little girl Rosie
She's just turned 4 years old and i've had her since she was 6 weeks old.

She can have an attitude on her at times, especially if you try to gently move her out of the way of the pc like such

And also with her stepsister Sophie if she tries to play with her catnip toys

But she is a loving kitty, and more so when she knows she's getting a treat!

But she's famous for making people smile with the faces she makes

Here's my oldest, Katie, who's almost 13. She was my
first cat and taught me what sweet, funny creatures they are. She's a total lap cat and a loving, loyal companion.

This my newest addition, Claire. She's not quite 2 years old. She's a gentle, yet playful, girl. She's still a bit skittish, but making progress daily. I'm in awe of her beauty.

This is Peter, the man of the house, in a rare quiet moment. He's Claire's littermate. He's grown from a timid feral kitten into a goofy, sweet and cuddly boy. He lives for opportunities to bug his "sisters."

And, this is Gracie. She's almost 7 years old. She's the most demanding, bossy cat I've ever met. She's also incredibly affectionate and loves to be involved in everything I'm doing.

Heres my other little girl Sophie who's just turned two years old

Sophie came to me from a friend who is a vet nurse. Sophies mum was taken to her surgery by the owners thinking she was having problems giving birth. As it happend she was fine, but the owners couldn't afford the vet bill so asked them if they could find Jasmine and her babies homes.

As luck would have it all kittens were found loving homes along with Jasmine

This is Jasmine and you can see Sophie right at the bottom

She's also had the name " No Fear " from me because from being a kitten i was told she was the most confident in the litter and boy was she!

From climbing chairs

To hanging off hand rails

To walking all over Rosie

But like Rosie i love them both to pieces

Here are my lovely little angels

This is my girl, Chichi

Chichi is about 17 years old this year. I've had her since I was 8. She is my first cat. She is very bossy has a heck of a cattitude. She will let you know when she wants to be petted or playful, other than that don't bother her! Despite her age, she is still quite agile. She stills enjoys playing

This is my new addition, Murphy

I had a hair up my rear to get another cat. I posted a thread about my quest here on TCS
STLGRL5 told me about the fosters she had on petfinder, I went and looked, seen this handsome little devil and the rest is history. Murphy is a crazy little thing at times, zooming all over the apt
but then there are the lovebug moments, when he turns into my little huggy-bear

So how do your two get along? My friends 10 year old cat gets pooped out by their 5 year old...i wondered about your cats age gap!

Sometimes, when Chichi is in the mood
they will chase each other around, its pretty funny because Chichi is like twice the size of him
but most of the time Murphy knows to leave her alone. Chichi is not shy at all, and will pop him quick! Sometimes he just goes nutso though and disregards his own life/safety
and decides to try his luck with her. He has yet to win that battle

Great thread!
I love reading about every kitty and seeing their pictures!

Here's Tibby!

Tibby is my first cat since living away from home! He came into my life in Summer 2003! (he'll be three this year!) He was part of a colony of homeless cats in my old street and decided that he fancied coming home with me! (longer story, but I'll keep it shorter!)

He came into my life while I was struggling to deal and cope with my knee injury and became the light of my life!
(as did Molly, shortly after and Willow when he came into our lives!)

He bagan life as a quite vicious kitten and it took a lot of time and love to help him feel secure and loved - which helped him to lose his vicious streak! He still bites once in a while, but is mostly an extremely loving and amiable cat!

....and he certainly loves his sister!
(even though he did think she was a toy when she first arrived!
)

Here's Molly!

Molly also arrived during the Summer of 2003 as a tiny kitten from the same colony. I often saved her from running around on the main road and finally gave in to taking her into our family!

Molly is a tiny cat and is quite a timid little thing (unless it comes to her little brother, Willow!
)

She's also a sun worshiper and will often be found lying in the sun by the window!

Molly is certainly my 'ickle girly!

Here's Willow!

Willow arrived in October last year at under five months old. We suspect that he was dropped over my wall and nobody came forward to find him.
After a lot of speculation, he became part of the family!

He settled in very quickly

Willow is an extremely affectionate and chatty kitty who is always telling stories of his daily escapades!

He thoroughly loves to play and will not stop unless Tibby steals his toys! But his still has great love and respect for his big brother!

....and although he and Molly have their issues, they can sometimes find a place for calm!

From the time he arrived, he has come on leaps and bounds and is now confident enough to go outside with us for walkies!
