(Should this be in Fur Pics?) Well.. the Cat Pages are gone. And I thought it would be nice to get to know everybody's cats a little better! Especially those we don't see much, or people's who are fairly new
We do already know a lot of cats here - but some only in bits & pieces..... And if there's anything you'd like us to know about your cats but never really had the occasion to say it, go ahead!

You can post a few pictures of each of your cats, talk about their personality, some funny things they have done, how you got them, their ages, what you love about them, their weird habits, etc. Try to keep if fairly short. I thought it might be nice to have a thread with lots of peoples' cats and everything. I know it's a weird idea, I'm just about sure this thread will die instantly,.... Here goes nothin'

I'll start with mine!

This is Sweetie:

Here's a pic of when she was pregnant:

She can be short-tempered sometimes, but is otherwise she is a sweet-heart!! I've had her for almost 5 years - she is a fairly small cat, was the runt of the litter- she's my baby
A couple years ago, I lost her for 8 days, was so devastated, put up lost cat posters, cried, looked everywhere for her. I found her locked in a neighbor's shed!
She had a litter of kittens 4 years ago (both my cats are spayed now, don't worry
) And I gave away the kitties for free, to people who I was sure would give them nice loving homes (and they have).

I kept one of those kitties she had, she looked a lot like her mom and was also the runt of the litter.
Here she is:

Her name is Precious.. mostly because, like I said, she was the tiniest of the litter, and is just so precious to me!! She is kind of skittish, purrs very loudly, and will never bite or scratch you. She had a litter of her own, and right after that, nursed a litter of doubled-pawed foster-kitties found motherless in a box on the side of the road....Bless her heart, 2 litters in a row!

Lets see your cats!

Sweetie looks like she could be Harley's mom in that second pic! I think their faces look similar, not to mention her giant foot, and we all know Harley has giant feet! I don't know if I can keep mine short, I have, um, a few cats here...

That's what I've always thought too! She looked more like him when she was younger though. Ummm. How about starting with 1 or 2 of your cats if you want??

What I meant by 'keep it kind of short' is the writing part.

Lost in thoughts of quills...
I really doubt that this thread will die!

Boomer

He's my lovable big boy kitty! He's such a stinker when it comes to wanting outside.

Nuby

She is my Sugar as I call her. My sweet little baby girl who loves me very much!

Lucky

He's our newest addition and is much bigger than this now.
He's a very sweet boy, but can get very hyper..lol

Simba is my other cat, but I do not have a pic of her. She is a tortishell manx. She is quite old, but we are hoping she is with us for a few more years.

Those are my babies.

Okay...

This is Poodle Kitty, but her real name is Princess.

She is about 8-9 years old, and my first kitty. I've had her for about 6 years. She's a bit chubby and has a stub tail, but a very loving, sweet tabby girl.

Here is Flibbo, real name Monster.

He was adopted as a kitten, and a troublemaker from the first day. He is a nice, easy-going tom cat.

Here is Annabelle, but around the house we call her Tripod or Flopsy.

She is 13 years old, but the newest addition to the family. She has only three legs, but is still very active and playful.

Ooooh, Yay!!
Great idea for a thread! I love to talk about my boy.

Here's my precious boy Sash, we've been together thirteen years now and we are so incredibly close, you would not believe it!
Sash is my soulmate and love of my life (shhh.....don't tell Will!)
Sash is a very spoiled only cat and a very happy, easy going guy. Not much bother's Sash. He's just a big furry teddy bear!
Well, I could talk about my boy forever but I'll stop here. Here's some pics of my sunshine.

This is Mystik:

Mystik came to me last year when my sister was homeless and living out of hotels with her boyfriend. The hotel didn't allow pets and they were worried they'd get caught with her. They GAVE her to me and at the point in time I was afraid of cats. I often tried to ignore Mystik but she followed me around everywhere and finally I sat on the floor and she rubbed up against me and gave me a love bite. That was the day I fell in love. She wasn't really a sleeper during the night but was very protective of me. She never let anybody really pay close attention to her except for me. From what I heard whenever I wasn't around she tend to become rather moody. I kept Mystik for 3 months and she became my best friend, but then in the middle of October she was taken from me. My sister found a place to stay and took her back. I cried everyday and everynight.

This is Jack Daniels Joe Mason:

November was just starting and my birthday was nearing. My sister had called me and told me to go online and look for a cat. I was pointing out Tabbys thinking the cat was for her but then she told me the cat was for me. I immediatly pointed out a sweet face named "CJ" who had been there for way too long. On November 27th we went to the humane society and I took him out of his cage and led the way to the "Get Accquanted" room. I sat on the floor while my sister and mom sat in chairs. He ignored the other two beings in the room and came straight to me. He layed upon my lap and licked my hands as to say "Thank you thank you I love you so much!" That was the first time I smiled in about a month. We took him home on November 28. He's a sleeper at night he sleeps with me. He follows me around everywhere. He doesn't greet me at the door like Mystik did when I come home from school. He's moody. He hates being picked up and held. He LOVES being petted.

This is Tracii Guns:

After I found out that my sister got another cat and wasn't taking care of him I took him into my hands. His name used to be Marty but I changed it to Tracii Guns. Tracii was definitly a lover. He loved being held, petted, and groomed. He hated his bath so much that to rinse the soap off him we had to stick a laundry basket over him and squirt the water through the holes. Mean I know but he forgave us especially after the 5 treats he got. He was really tolerant of pretty much anything. He was extremely mischevious. He died on Feb. 27th, 2006 and will be forever missed.

Geez, this is a bit like asking a parent about their children; they love to talk about them!
I sure love reading about the kitties that I see pics of all the time! As much as I could probably fill a page, Ill keep this short so not too many of you start rolling your eyes at me

First, this is my rescue cat Hobbs. Hobbs is very special for many reasons, but one is that he reminds me so much of a cat I had as a kid, Butch Cassidy, who broke my heart, and who I wrote about in Crossing the Bridge a long time ago. They have the same personality, and if there is such a thing as cat reincarnation, this would be it to me. Hobbs is my cat friend, he is always around me, meets me at the door at night, often sleeps on my lap when Im in bed or on a chair. He is my sweet little purring boy, he gets into everything (as you can see), and he loves it when I hold him like a baby and rub the back of his neck.

Next is my big 17 pound girl Blueberry. She is a Ragdoll, with a very un-Ragdoll like personality. She is skittish of noises, and can move dang fast when she wants to. She is a bit snobby, meaning she just tolerates a couple of family members, luckily I'm one, though she doesnt bite, just runs. She is very vocal, telling me immediately when she is hungry, thirsty, or wants to be brushed. She has the cute (but tiring!) habit of visiting me 2-3 times a night, purring like crazy, and kissing me on the mouth or in my ear, until I pet her for a minute, then she goes back to sleep until the feeling hits her again. She is my sweet big girl, with a beautiful soft coat.

Rocky:

This is his mom's pic if you are interested:

I'm going to admit it, Rocky is my favorite. We got him as a 12 week old shelter cat. He is about two years old. He is the kind of boy that follows you around. Right now he just came up to me, meowed pitifully and recieved scritches on the head. Oops, just now started sitting in my lap, doesn't do that often.
He has been sick a lot from herpes and gets a lot of attention bc of that. He becomes a different cat at the vet and growls like crazy, esp at dogs! When we got the kittens he loved them! He grooms them all the time. He tends to challenge Zakk just for fun! He also likes to give night kisses and sleeps by my feet. His other quirk is that he LOVES being lint rolled and begs for it! You can't see it in pictures, but he has a spattering white hairs on his backs. He also has a bad eye from herpes so he doesn't see that great. All of his little paws are black!

Here is Zakk, our first cat:

Zakk will be about 3 in June. He definitely has the most personality of my cats, and is probably the smartest. He came to us b/c he was abandoned by an evicted tenant of a former coworker. He loves to look outside, loves his treats, demands to be fed first, and can get quite pushy about it. He is not above swatting at me or hubby if he feels he needs a treat. He also will let you know if he doesn't like the way he is being held, petted or touched. He can be very affectionate at times and has a sweet purr. He allows my husband to cuddle with him under the covers at bed time! Rocky is the only cat that isn't afraid of him, Zakk gets very mad when he wrestles with Rocky, but has never really inflicted any damage. The other two cats are too afraid to challenge him. He is very good at climbing and getting himself in some weird situations- see picture of in my sig, he is actually sitting on a clothes rack! I also have a pic of him standing on my toaster, and sitting nonchalantly in the middle of my cluttered kitchen table... He is also very verbal- used to be very bad first thing in the morning. All of his little paws have a variety of pink and black pads!

Cookie

Cookie is one of two kittens that were found by my coworker living outside her condo this fall. I'm going to guess they born in July some time, so that puts them at about 8 months or so. He is much bigger now, but I don't have updated pics as my digital camera is in the shop. Cookie is a great cat. Playful, curious, friendly. He can be a bit skittish about strangers and sudden noises, but in general is fine. He loves to be pet and doesn't mind being picked up, but is not a "cuddler" He loves his wet food and has started jumping on the counter along with Zakk when its time. He has a very long tail and can scale the cat tree in two seconds! He is very friendly with Rocky. He is very playful. He has the cutest pink paw pads and nose.
Suzie:

Suzie is Cookie's sister. Unfortunately, Suzie is very shy, but she is very beautiful. She does not want to be touched. She doesn't fight you if you do manage to pick her up, but she is so scared you feel bad. She has always been this way, but she is not neccesarily scared of humans. I think she understands that we like having her and we are the food suppliers. She will appear and hang out on the other side of the room. As long as you don't move towards her she will stay. She catches treats expertly when they are throw to her! Every morning when it is feeding time she will come down and meow demandingly displaying tortitude that she WANTS food NOW! She is also playful and will play with her toys. She also loves to pony on up to Rocky. She has all black little paws except for one foot that is light colored with 4 pink pads. Her little nose is edged in brown, and in her mouth, one side of her gums are black, the other side is pink. We accept Suzie for who she is, and I hope that she will slowly make some progress.

First of all, the only pictures I have are the ones in my signature. I have pictures in Imagestation and Photobucket but can't get in either one.

Felicia came from a pet store in 1989. Another cat of mine had been PTS and I was having trouble getting over it. I thought it would help to get another cat-it didn't.

She picked on Shadow an older cat I had at the time. She didn't like me either. So I ignored her. I fed the cats in the a.m., then went to work. When I came home, I fed them supper. All the time ignoring her.

After Shadow was PTS, Felicia was by herself all day. At first we both ignored each other. Then on day I opened the door, and Felicia was there to greet me. I think she realized that I gave her food and she better be nice to me.

Beau is a purebred Burmese. He is the only purebred that I have had. I did show him when he was younger. He hated it. We only went to shows 1-2 times a year. I think if he had more experience he would have done better.

Beau just had a birthday. He was born March 15, 1992.

there is a thread where people talk a lot about their cats, and why they favor one over the other. The posts were a lot of fun. I love reading about people's kitties. Here is the link>>>

I love to talk about my sweet pea!!, Reilly is my one and only furbaby and this year he is turning 5 years old. Reilly came into my life at the same time my fiance did (3 years ago). Reilly is a very loveable kitty but he reserves his sweetness for Jeff & I. It takes a long time for him to warm up to others and will greet new people with a big hiss
What a silly boy!!, he's very playful and loves to get into trouble. Our home had to be childproofed because he will and has in the past gotten himself into trouble. His favourite game to play is fetch and he loves to sleep by my head or on my neck at night.

Like all good cat owners I love to tell people about my kitties!!

First Lucky (aka Princess). Lucky came into my life when i was going through a rough time so I call her my little angel. She was four weeks old and I watched while she just missed being run over by a car and then fall into a ditch. When i stopped and ran towards her she started to run towards me, talking the whole way. I like to think she was saying "did you see that car...how dare it almost hit me!!"
Lucky loves to cuddle, loves to talk all the time, plays fetch and torments her brother whenever possible.

little Lucky:

And my princess now: (warning...gratuitous belly shot!)

And then...my baby Rambo. I got Rambo when Lucky was around 7mos old to keep her company (and i hoped out of trouble!). Rambo was at the shelter in a cage with 5 of his brothers and sisters. They were all tabby and white just different proportions of each. While we watched, Rambo climbed up on to the edge of the litter box and launched himself on to the pile of his sleeping brothers and sisters and just started a WWF match. I thought "he's perfect to deal with princess Lucky". Soon after i got him home though I realized that this wasn't the real Rambo....He's really a lover not a fighter and he's since been nicknamed Deuce (i.e. Bigalow, male gigalo) since he'll go home with anyone who gives him good scritches!!!!!

little Rambo: (so peaceful!!)

My big boy now:

(i swear he is sometimes awake!
)

I'll say a few things about my babies...
heres lily, she can be sweet but she has some major behaviour problems,iv had her for 2 yrs and we are inseperable.I dont know much about her past, she was 1 when we got her from the shelter.

I got freda about a year later, she was my husbands dads cat but didnt get enough love and attention so i said id take her, shes very sweet natured but dislikes other kitties until she gets to know them better.Shes 16 and spends her life sleeping.

I got florrie 3 weeks ago from a woman who could no longer look after her,i wasnt told anything about her except that shes 3 yrs old.She seems to have taking a liken to my son which is strange cos my other kitties run from him.
