In October, my fiance and I took in a pregnant stray cat. She had her babies in November and they've found good homes (except for two who passed
), but we haven't been able to find a home for her. All of our friends are not looking for a cat, and the only reponses I've gotten to ads have been scams.

She's a black dsh, 8ish lbs, and the vet estimates she's a year/year and a half.

We've had her spayed and her rabies shot is up to date. She does need a deworming again and the rest of her vaccinations. She's tested FIV/FeLV neg.

She's very smart, has already learned her name and will come when called. She's got the activity level of a kitten with the control of an adult cat.

She's getting along with our neutered male cat (95% of the time) but DOES NOT like our spayed girl cat. I don't recommend her around dogs as she growls and puffs up when she even hears them barking.

I'm really not sure what else to do. She is so wonderful that I would keep her except for the fact that she can't get along with our girl cat. And our girl cat is letting us know she's not happy by peeing innapropriatly (she's negative for UTI).

So thanks for reading my long post, I really love this girl, but she's ready for her own family now.

Here's some pics!
You would think she posed for this one:

How can you resist her cute face?

Julia....I'm going to recommend the same thing I just recommended to someone else. Since this girl is completely vetted...as long as you are willing to "foster" her until she finds her home, contact some local rescue groups and see if they are willing to place a courtesy ad for you. Additionally, you may want to see if you can bring her to the adoption events...let the rescue group charge (and keep) their normal fee. It's a win/win situation (you get this girl more exposure and the rescue group gets the fee of placing a cat without having to use their funding for it or space that they would normally rescue a cat from a kill shelter).

That's actually what i'm doing right now. My problem is that we have to keep her confined to one room for most of the day because she attacks Boo.
I guess I feel bad keeping her locked up, she's not getting the attention she should, and Boo isn't happy with the "evil cat" in the house and is peeing on belongings to let us know (yes, she's been to vet to rule out a uti).
So I'm trying to see if any rescues can take her as well. We can give them a small donation and we have lots of great photos of her they can use. But I would be happy if they could accomodate her in the way you mentioned Katie.
Though I guess if a rescue takes her, she may end up in kennel for quite some time as well. It's hard! and she's just the sweetest cat, all our friends love her but sadly no one is in the position to take a new cat, so we'll just keep trying our different options.
Thanks for the advice, I'm glad to hear that it's something rescues will do for people.

We are doing that right now actually for a person in a similiar situation. They are fostering the cat and we have put her picture up on our website and have her come to adoption events.

Good news!

We've been talking with a girl I went to college with, and she would like to take Chalupa! She's a great girl and has started working for a really good friend of mine, so I can "check in" on Chalupa and see how she's doing and I'll be available if she can't keep her for any reason.
She's coming over on Friday to meet Chalupa and if they get along (which shouldn't be a problem) then we'll all go to our vet's on Sat. to get her final deworming and shots.
I'm so happy to find her a home with someone I know and trust. Chalupa's kittens are also living with friends, so I can visit all of them from time to time!
Thanks for everyone's vibes and especially for your advice Katie.

Thanks, she is beautiful.
I was bringing her in to my work for awhile so she could get more exercise and even my boss (a dog person, never owned cats) was in love with her. I think she would have adopted her if she didn't already own giant german shepherd who's not cat-proof.
