We were awoken this morning to Bailey shaking on my head...........
It thunder stormed last night, and we think if our old memories serve us right that this was his first experience with one! Poor baby. I tried hugging him but he didn't want that. He just wanted to lay on my head and shake...........luckily it didn't last long and he calmed down.........

Now I'm getting ready to go do some laundry........Jerry just left to go skeet shooting with some buddies, so I'm left on my own to do what I want today.............as much as I love my husband,

I think a little retail therapy is in order this afternoon! Anyone care to join me!?

Movin' on up!
Jen is coming over and we're going to breakfast and shopping, too. Mervyn's has a 50% off sale and I want to try to find some things for the twins' birthday.

Umm, Susie, does it still cost money to go shopping??? lol, then I cant go! Poo. I am banned from all forms of retail therapy for a very long time, I spent a huge chunk of my little bit of savings on brand new fantastic bedding a couple weeks ago. With egyptian cotton high thread count sheets and hand sewn decorative pillows, I spent (ugh I'm ashamed to admit it...) $550. ( I know, I know that's outrageous, but Ive never done it before and it was a long time comin'!) And darnit, now I never want to get out of bed! lol. But you have a fabulous 'Susie-Day' without the hubby, and buy pretty things!

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
OOoooh Id have loved to go shopping today but it's so thick with snow up here!
Yesterday was Marks 24th birthday and I booked a big table at the Chinese and invited all his friends and family and he knew nothing about it. We had such a great night! Anyway - everyone is still here because the roads are too bad to travel!
We got our togs on and went to the supermarket for munchies earlier and now I am back in my pj's!! aaaaaahhh. Everything outside looks so pretty!

Can you take a pic of the snow for us Lauren? It's always pretty when it's in someone elses back yard!

I'd love to join you, but all that's open by me is the supermarket. We have the blue law here.

Ok...! I figured it out!!
This one was the view from my window a few hours ago, because we are so close to the sea its thick but not too thick. Also it's warmer in the city centre

However....
This was the picture my Mum sent me this morning of their front garden.. and its still going strong now so it will be worse

You think it's pretty?

Oh yes Lauren, I think snow is very pretty, for the first snow fall anyways. And I always think it's pretty when it's somewhere else! I just hate the cold and bad driving conditions that it causes.........
Nice pics!!!

What's the blue law?
I'd be blue too if I wasn't allowed to go shopping!

Lauren - those pictures are great! I can't believe how much snow the UK is getting. When I lived there, I think it snowed twice, and just weeny snow like thick frost.

I know, I love it but I'm getting annoyed because its showing no signs of stopping and I want everyone to go home!!!

Apparently the airports (Edinburgh and Glasgow) have shut down... I hate how we just panic and shut down at a bit of snow.

Well it WAS beautiful out now, but they are now predicting that we are supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow today!

I am at home with my family and I have a 2hr drive ahead of me, lets hope I don't get caught in it - otherwise I'll be calling into work tomorrow!

Wait....yup, I could handle not going into work and have an extra day w/ my family!

Been shopping already, but that was for the weekly groceries and necessities. You know, cat food?

Now to get my surfing done early because we are expecting more
this afternoon and evening.

Colorado is FINALLY getting a touch of winter for more than 2 days in a row. I know it sounds funny, but we need to moisture/snow so badly or we're going to be in a serious drought again this year.

So, we got up this morning and turned on the F1 race and found out that there is actually an American driver in the series this year!
First US driver since Michael Andretti 13 years ago. Go Scott Speed! (Apt name, huh?) The Avalanche game starts at 1:00 and the NASCAR race starts at 2:00, so we'll be busy for the rest of the day too.
But we do need to make a quick run out to get necessities (bread and milk), hopefully before the rest of our sports start.

Ditto here with the chocolate therapy. Not having seen any Girl Scouts selling cookies (pity the ones if I do
) I bought a package of Keebler's Grasshoppers. They're close to Thin Mints. I also hit Walgreen's and came out with 6 bags of chocolate - mostly Reese's peanut butter cups/eggs. Well, one bag was of Hershey's Special Dark Kisses which I gave to my mommy.
I'm such a good girl.
