ok, i'm going to do something i've been wanting to do since Christmas...i'm going to go by our local animal shelter & check out their male cats. i've been wanting a boy for a while, now...and since spring break's next week, this would be a good time since i can be at home with the cats for a week while they get used to a newcomer. i'll post

when spring break's over if i get a new furbaby. i know, you're all jealous!

ummmmm.... yeah... ya think Christine would be willing to add any new guy i find?
i'm not going to worry about it right now. there might not be anyone appropriate there anyway - i live in a very small town. when i looked at their website, there were only like 3-4 cats there.

Laureen, both you & Mackenzie should come visit me @ the HS. I would LOVE to help you both pick out a new kitty(or two or three). After all, Minnesota isn't that far away from you in Texas!

Are you just planning on going to see who would fit in your family, or are you secretly hoping for a certain color or pattern? I hope you can get a boy! I love new kitty pictures!

] but personality is more important to me... after all, he'll be coming into a house full of females!

Yes - only one, & then only if i find one i think will work well. i'm not going to put Pixel thru the stress of adapting to a new cat unless i think she'll get along with him. i'm not worried about the other 2 - they're young!

John & Harley would go NUTS if I came home with a new kitty this weekend!

I want to come in and see you this weekend Natalie (how fun would that be!?) but I know I'd go crazy and want to bring them all home with me!

And if you don't find one that's a match?

When we went looking to add one, it took a little over a year before we found one that was the "right" cat. Many tries. Many trips. Many "wrong" cats. Don't be in a rush just to fill that week. But you know that. I'm just rambling I guess.

Sometimes it feels like you'll never find your next little guy. Then one day - there they are!
