I was just doing a little re-decorating and shopping online for some stuff and I was wondering - what is your home decorating style?

In my living room I have this:

(Pic was taken when I first moved in)

But the style in there is the dark furnature with the Paris/winery theme, very casual/comfy. Of course with my palm tree pillows, which I love
I finally have wall hangings and all that good stuff! Just no updated pics yet!

My bathroom is Palm Tree's - I just love all the cute stuff you can find at Target and such for all that decorating stuff.

My bedroom is the Jungle theme - Leopard print on the bed, with wild animal prints on the walls (elephants, tigers, lions, ect.) I love it - there is also a lot of fun stuff that I've found for that too.

When Harley lays on our bed, he blends in!

So whats your style? I love hearing about other people's decorating styles and such - gives me good ideas!

Oh gosh....my style is so wacky sometimes. I love designing interiors.

DH is very modern, clean lines, no fussy messyness. His study is gray, silver and black.

My livingroom and kitchen connect, so they are the same colors, but I have managed to subtly change styels. My kitchen I guess I would describe as country but the living room is a bit more elegant. Or was till Mooch and Noodles moved in. My 'theme' for the kithcen is chili peppers and tomatos. The walls are a brown with a green boarder around the top that has a yellow checkerboard type pattern with red squares randomly mixed in too. Then just below there is a red stripe. All hand painted, which I just finished recently. I also added the chili peppers to it. I'm working on accents and my curtains for there still too. I went and bought fabrics that won't work together so I'm revamping that idea still.

The living room is the same brown as the kitchen but my accents are cranberry red and ivory sheers with roses. I have both black and gold accents at the moment.

Our bedroom is just us. Almost the same color as the living room (a taupe/brown) with white background lilac bedding. It's a small room that drives me nuts. I have no headboard and my curtains on my one window are still the yucky blue ones from dh's single days!

You can't see much of my study so I call that 'eclectic!'

Our bathroom is green purple roses and ivory accents.

The cat's bathroom is a pretty blue with white accents.

Modern clutter

Now if I had the money, it'd be all 1900-1920's (repros of course) art decco.

My style is currently a mess!

My old house was very country. We had the big black iron woodstove and the wood beams, etc.

We have been in our new house a little over a year, and needless to say most of my things do not go in this house. We have done over a few rooms. My Bedroom is now a periwinkle blue. The bedding and curtains have a quilt pattern of periwinkle blue, beige, pale yellow and light green. I am in the office and we painted that a color called "Cinnamon Toast". It's a warm light brown. I have plaid valances that are the same brown as the walls with cranberry and green in them also. Those are the only rooms that are done upstairs.

We did the downstairs bathroom a few months back. The color is called Russian Blue and we put in brushed nickel lights and fixtures. My shower curtain and valance are white, lavender, salmon and blue stripes.

Here are a few pics I have in photobucket that I have posted before:

my kitchen - still needs to be painted

my breezeway

We still have the spare bedroom, the upstairs bathroom, the living room and the dining room to do. Those will be ongoing projects for a VERY long time.

Me too! I love our little apartment, but I really want a "real house" so I can paint, tear up carpet and do what I want, without worrying about a landlord!

I want to paint in here SO bad, the bland white walls are getting to me!

Karen, I think that yellow would look really great in there, I love your kitchen!

Save up as much $$ as you can now. Houses really are a huge money pit!

Thank you!
Houses sure are a money pit. We have to re-do our deck in the spring because the idiots who lived here before us never had it sealed. D'oh!
These are also the same people who lived here for 6 years and never cleaned out the dryer vent, never had the carpets deep cleaned and were stealing gas from the city the whole time they lived here!

We bought our house from 2 Botanists that spent all their time in the yard, and did some strange things in the hosue. My husband was moving a phone jack and found out that instead of electrical tape, they had used scotch tape. Needless to say, we ae going through everything.
