I will miss no bugs and not having to mow the lawn. Of course we paid a kid to do it last year when he was away, but now he can do it himself! I'll miss the winter night sky too. So starry!

I will not miss all the long dark days!

I think the only thing I'll miss is how pretty everything looks after a snow storm. Other than that... goodbye winter!

well since I moved to the south from the frigid north, this is what I will miss about winter at my old home:

140 inches of snow a year

snowblowing 2 feet of snow out of my driveway often several times weekly

waking up to find that the snow plows had deposited 2 feet of ice chunks in the front of my driveway over night, that would take me an hour to snowblow out of there

freezing my a$$ of at night in my house no matter how much I had the heat on

having to take out home equity loans to pay my heating bills

slipping on ice a few times each winter and busting my butt doing it

having to warm up my car for 15 minutes each morning, while breaking ice scrapers galore trying to get a half inch of frozen sleet off my windows

having to risk fender benders for 6 months from people driving badly in the snow

having my clothing stained with ice removing salt from walking in the snow and slush downtown

getting frost bite walking outside in 5 below weather

worrying about my pipes freezing and costing me $3,000 to replace

winterizing my above ground pool for a whopping 2 months of use, if lucky

having to go in my back yard in 0 degree weather and clear ice and debris from the end of my sump pump discharge pipe so my basement didnt flood

freezing my a$$ off and risking sever bodily injury falling off of ladders putting up christmas light each winter

chopping wood in my zero degree garage for the fireplace which never worked right

watching the undercarriage of my car get slowly eaten away by ice melting industrial salt

cleaning away the filthiest looking grime, sand, and old salt off the first 5 feet of my lawn each spring

hardly being able to leave my house for 5 months out of the year

staring out my backyard window at the lovely sight of 4 tons of dog poo, and a bunch of yellow ice and snow, because the dogs couldnt walk more than 10 feet from the house due to 5 foot high backyard snow drifts..

hmmmmmm..i'd think of some more, but I think that you get the idea that I HATE WINTER IN THE NORTHEAST AND DONT MISS A FLIPPING THING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Everything!! With the exception of all the poor homeless animals that have to be outside during the cold nights, that's the one reason I do not like winter. Otherwise, I'm very sad to see winter ending it's my favorite season, it's even harder since we didn't have much snow this year. Makes me wanna cry.......

I think there are positives to every season! I cannot WAIT for spring to come, though. Here is what I will really miss about winter:

-fires in the fireplace
-lonnnnnnng winter naps with the cats
-curling up with a book and a cup of hot cocoa
-looking out the window to see pretty snow falling
-huge blizzards that bring 3 ft. of snow
-cool, crisp, silent nights with snow on the ground
-walking with my cats in the woods in the backyard the still morning after a storm
-etc., etc., etc. I could name a million things about it I will miss!!

But I am so looking forward to spring anyways!

What will I miss about winter? Um, WINTER! We haven't had it this year on the Front Range, with the exception of maybe a couple weeks total. I miss the beautiful snow falling. I miss the possibility of a snow day or two.
I miss how good it feels to come inside a warm home after being in the cold. I miss watching the kitties watch and sometimes try to catch the big snowflakes as they are falling past the windows. I miss the crisp, clean way a cold morning feels. I miss not having allergies because the cold keeps the allergens down. I miss not being able to sweaters - I have some great, comfy sweaters!

I have kind of a love/hate with winter. It's kind of fun to go outside and feel -40° F and see white everywhere, but it gets old after 7 months. I will miss the complete lack of insects the most. That's the best. I will also miss the hugging feeling of heavy covers in bed. I have a hard time falling asleep with just a sheet on me. It's too light.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Being able to dry my washing on the radiators. In the summer it gets so hot in our flat so obviously the heating is off but I have nowhere to dry things because we live on the top floor, so no garden. Things take forever to dry.
Its a beautiful day here today and its got me looking forward to summer.

We keep the thermostat low at night, because we have a sheet, 3 blankets, a quilt, and an afghan on the bed.
I can't stand having just a sheet.
