Yeah, I don't think I can even bring my Festus, and she is the most social...at least with hoomans! She gets VERY nervous when she goes out and about...probably remembers all the adoption shows I schlepped her to when she was a kitten!
What about Wenzee? She lives somewhere near me. I'll try to pm her, because she hasn't been very active lately!

Oh, and I'm not aware of Nookies at Halsted and Diversey. I'm pretty sure the only one over in Lakeview is the one at Halsted and something like Melrose or Buckingham (between Belmont and Roscoe)

I didn't list April 9th because i have my writing groups that day. It's hard enough packing two events in one day (with public transit), but brunch and then the groups? Heck no.
We're going to a restaraunt... I doubt they'd allow the cats. Becides, i can't get my cats on the CTA... it's Bandaid City for me if I try taking them anywhere. let's settle on bringing pics. I know I have some early pics from my pre-digital days that aren't scanned. Back when JoJo was SKINNY!
Someone else mentioned the corner of Halsted and Diversey... here's the addresses of the three:

I'd vote on Nookies Tree. Closest to public trans and, IMO, the best out of the three...er..tree...

I'd love to come, but as it is with these things, my schedule conflicts. Of course since I'm a latecomer to this thread, I would completely understand if you cannot change the date. I work April 2nd, but I am off April 9th. If there's any chance of changing it, that would be great. If not, I totally understand.

Beckiboo - thank you so much for PM'ing me! I've been kinda "outta the loop" on the forum here and I blame it mostly on a very rough first trimester and feeling horrible. Ugh! But right now I'm 11 weeks and VERY happy to be approaching the END of this lousy trimester!!
Anyhoo - I assume that by the beginning of April I will be feeling somewhat like my normal self again. I won't give a definite yes at this point, but will definitely check in periodically to see if it's still a go! It sounds like a BLAST and I really hope I can make it!!

So, what about one of the other Sundays? the 16th? That one works for me. It's only the second Sunday of each month that is bad. Which, for April, is the 9th.

I just found this thread, and am shocked I over looked it. LOL I live (New Lenox) about 1 hour from downtown. I am interested in joining as well. I will wait to see what day is confirmed since there are other dates requested.

So, the 23rd may be the best so far. Not everyone has chimed in... so I'll wait until I get home tonight (or check in the morning) to finalize.
So, let's say the 23rd of April. Hopefully that will work out for everyone.
Just got home from a late lunch with a client up on the north side... but at least I got money from him. It's nice when they pay me. Hopefully I'll be able to expand my client base while I'm still in the city...

The 23rd works for me!
The 16th was Easter Sunday anyway, not that it would have mattered to me as I have to work it, but I doubt it would have worked.

April 23rd should be okay for me...can you give me an idea how long it would take to get to the "Tree" from O'hare Airport? That is almost an hour from my house. I want to get an idea for how long the drive will be!
I'm thinking, on a Sunday, it would take about a half hour from OHare to Nookies. Maybe 45 mins...
