Yay, it's Pancake Day!

Will you be having pancakes tonight? What do you like to have with your pancakes? Have you ever had anything strange on them or had a complete disaster when making them?
Do share!!

When I was in Student Halls, we weren't particularly prepared for pancake day, so we raided the cupboards for things to have with them!
One I would certainly not recommend is pancakes with Mint Sauce!

As this will be the last day before Lent, will you be giving anything up? If so, what?

I think I am going to give up Burger King and McDanolds this year. I try every year to use Lent to give up something that is bad for me, but I am not really religous so I forget about Lent unless someone reminds me. So thank you for reminding me!

I suppose Lent is a good way to give up some bad foods!!

I've never really done anything for Lent! I just enjoy Shrove Tuesday!!
Any excuse for a whole meal of pancakes!!

Lauren, don't be a spoil sport!
You had better get mixing that batter when you get home!!
You just can't not have pancakes today!!

They won't stick that hard, Susan!
They're more likely to stick to the ceiling!

Oh you can definitely give up chocolate!! Imagine trying to go that whole time without your tipple?!!!

Mmmm, Claire, I forgot about Jam!!
I have to get to the shops before tea time!!

You really are making me want to get tea started (really) early!!
I definitely need to get the jam soon, as there's nothing better than hot pancakes with cold jam!!

I can imagine they did!!
We must look so odd to theem when we're flailing around trying to toss the pancakes and laughing so hard when they go wrong!!

My Disco (RB) loved pancakes and Scotch Pancakes!

I'm sure my three would love them, they just tend to evade the kitchen when I start tossing them!

My oldest, Katie, is terrible about trying to lick the plate when I have pancakes. She goes crazy over the butter and syrup!

Christy, that's really interesting!
I had forgotten about that - even though I have Polish friends!

As I already have my pancakes planned for tonight, I have bookmarked the recipe and will definitely be giving them a go sometime!!
