The poor guy has tried so many food in the past 10 days!!
He went from Felidae to Max Cat to Purina and now to Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul. He does like that (whew) but tonite diarrhea again!!!
Is this a rich food that could be causing this??? He probably had about 2/3-3/4 cup of it today as I bought it Thursday afternoon.
The vet wants a stool sample and one of the "piles" had blood in it!!
This is so maddening....
Any ideas????

I agree with Stephen - changing foods that rapidly causes digestive issues. Try keeping your little guy on whatever it is you are feeding now for at least two weeks - if you must change it again, do it gradually, over a 3 to 4 week period by mixing in one third portion of whatever new food to the current for the first week, two thirds portion the second week and all the new food the third week. This goes for dry food too.

Poor little guy. I hate it how just little things can hurt them so bad. Especially with the food. I hope it all turns out ok, but I had a problem with that too...the changing of foods, and the poop. It's so sad, I'd say stay with the "quality" foods and wait & see if he gets any better. But what do I know? I always just call the vet...Im a paranoid Mewomy. lol

No, we had some diarrhea this morning so I am limiting the amount of dry food and ignoring his stares at me when I'm in the kitchen!!
He never used to be fussy with dry food until last fall-he will eat any moist food I set in front of him so I will be boosting that for awhile until his digestive track settle down. Or I might boil up some chicken and rice for him-maybe he will eat that. When his stools are firmer I will bring in a sample.
He has been shedding quite a bit lately too -this isn't unusual its his spring molt!! He doesn't like being brushed though so I'll give him some hairball stuff.
As for changing over last Sept I have several sample of "ultra premium" cat food and he did eat all of them each only lasted a couple days with no problems? Maybe he has kitty dementia too!!
