Is there any way of catching a really smart cat with a trap? For the past couple of years, there has been a Himalayan (SP) around my house. He pesters my poor kitties and they growl and hiss at him and they wake me up. I end up having to go chase him away (I'm sure it's a male). We have tried a trap with some food in it, but he's either too quick or too smart for that. He has a huge winter coat now, since it's still cold in Colorado. Regardless, I believe he is being well fed, making it harder to catch him using food as bait. After calling the humane society, I discovered that it would cost 30 dollars a day and night per trap if we wanted their help. This kitty is getting to be a real bother. Is there any other bait to use?
