Since we now have the spelling check feature (ABC over a check mark on the upper right), I was wondering how many people actually take the time to use it to correct spelling mistakes and typos.

It required a download. Since I'm on a work computer I didn't complete the download because the home page said it was not for commercial use.

I rarely use it. Usuaslly my mistakes are typing too fast and a letter or two gets switched around. I figure you guys all understand what I am trying to say or you would ask me what in the world I am saying. Its not too big of a deal.

I didn't even notice that there was a spell checker but I usually just re-read my post before I submit it.

I am the worst typer in the world. So My spelling mistakes are almost always due to being a two fingered typer. So I often edit my post after I read them and find all kinds of typos.

I didn't notice the feature, and I still can't see it. Chances are, using Opera, I probably couldn't use it, anyway. I can't use a lot of features like smiley's ect.

Those of you who say they can't see it - doesn't it appear when you click "Post Reply", or on the upper right of "Quick Reply"? I didn't have to download anything for the feature - it appeared when vBulletin was upgraded here, and is also available for PMs.

Fwan, you're too funny for people to get annoyed at.

I often make mistakes typing too quickly. I try to catch them on my own, but if I am in a hurry I don't always.

I do like the idea of a spell checker, but when I tried to use it it wanted me to download IE Spell. Twice now I tried to download but something was wrong with it and I got frustrated and gave up

Okay, that explains things. I was using iespell before the upgrade, which is why I didn't have to download when the feature was included here. I'll have to look for the thread, but I remember that Deb25 found spell checkers for browsers other than Internet Explorer that some of you might want to download.

Too bad it doesn't help with grammer. For some reason, improperly used there, their, or they're, bugs the pants off me. But then, other people I know are annoyed by the improper use of apostrophes, and I'm notoriously bad. I also used to consistently spell the word 'definitely' wrong.
