This morning after going #2 in her box, Miko jumped out and scooted around on her butt on the floor, looking freaked out, till a piece of poo fell off. I think she had a piece stuck to her, but after I wiped the rest off she was running around playing and acting like nothing happened.
Should I be concerned?
Normally I wouldn't, but a month ago she had tapeworms and did the same scooting on her butt thing until the actual worms came out! eww!
There were no worms this time, and she's been treated for those tapeworms last month, but should I take her the vet again after the strange poo incident this morning?
Thanks!

I've had that happen a couple times. Sometimes one of my cats will eat some grass and not digest it so it will be hanging out with some poo stuck on it that I will have to clean off. Other times, he'll manage to ingest some of my hair, (it's pretty long) and a strand will also get stuck with some poo on it. if it happened due to something like that, I wouldn't worry about it. sorry for the graphic description. sometimes i wonder what my friends would think if they read some of the posts I put on here.

interesting. so maybe it was nothing to worry about.

When they have a piece stuck to them do they scoot around on their butts trying to get it off?

most definitely! i had a little 'trail' to clean up when Cable had her 'incident'! after i realized the problem, i took her into the bathroom. hers was rather soft [that's why it got stuck, i think] so after i cleaned what i could[listening to loud protests all the while] i kept her there until she had finished the cleaning process. then i went out & cleaned the floor. i have all hard floors in my house, so it's easy to clean spills, trails & spit-ups. much harder cleaning a trail off of carpet

If Kitty scoots around without having anything stuck to her/him, then it's time to call the vet re anal glands.
