Sorry guys, but I need to get this out. I'm feeling angry, relieved, fed-up, etc...
Our latest addition to foster care is a sweet, young, orange female. Here's what I know. Earlier this week a group of young guys (late teens maybe) decided it would be fun to chase her. Once they caught her - not hard because she's pretty tame — they took her up to the roof of an apartment building and threw her off. It was a 20 foot drop.
Fortunately, a vet tech who volunteers with us and lived close by, was able to get to the cat pretty quickly and rushed her to our vet. I'm not sure of the extent of her injuries, but she's apparently going to be fine. We don't know if she belonged to someone in the neighborhood or not, but will try to find the owner. If not, we'll hold onto her while the SPCA investigates (there are witnesses) then place her for adoption.
