Sorry guys, but I need to get this out. I'm feeling angry, relieved, fed-up, etc...

Our latest addition to foster care is a sweet, young, orange female. Here's what I know. Earlier this week a group of young guys (late teens maybe) decided it would be fun to chase her. Once they caught her - not hard because she's pretty tame — they took her up to the roof of an apartment building and threw her off. It was a 20 foot drop.

Fortunately, a vet tech who volunteers with us and lived close by, was able to get to the cat pretty quickly and rushed her to our vet. I'm not sure of the extent of her injuries, but she's apparently going to be fine. We don't know if she belonged to someone in the neighborhood or not, but will try to find the owner. If not, we'll hold onto her while the SPCA investigates (there are witnesses) then place her for adoption.

What is wrong with people?

Just came from visiting with this little girl. She's such a sweetie, in spite of what happened to her. She's more of a buff color than orange. No one in the neighborhood seems to know where she came from. She hasn't been spayed, so we'll take care of that. Will also try posting flyers, but if there's no response one to the vet techs wants to adopt her!

Nice to hear that she will have a home after such a dreadful experience.

Eileen thats shocking!!
I really hope they find who did this, the poor baby

If that was my cat and they found who did it, i'd be bringing my own personal charges against them no matter how much it cost!

What is really scary is to think that those nuts can grow up to be fathers - can you imagine having a daddy like that?

But thank you for the update on the precious kitty. May she be blessed for her continued trust & love of people! And may guardian cat-angels look out for any other cats (and other vulnerable souls, such as young girls, puppies, etc.) who may cross those teen-aged monsters' paths

Yep, karma never fails to right losers like that. What a pathetic bunch of jerks. I hope she's feeling better soon!
