10 days ago I had to put my 19 year old cat Rascal down cuz she was really sick. The day that I put her down, Mischief (my 2.5 year old cat) sat with me while I was petting Rascal, and trying to get her to eat/drink. She usually a very quiet cat (only meowing when shes in heat), she usually wont come to you inless your in bed (then she'll curl up with you and purr while falling asleep) and she never goes to the door.

Since that day, Mischief has been going around the house meowing, sometimes it kinda sounds like shes wimpering. She'll come up to you, and if you pick her up she does these little meow like wimpers. And shes been going to the door and looking outside (but if you come near her, she'll run away from it).

I was just wondering if its possible that shes depressed, and what I could do to help her.

It certainly sounds like she's missing Rascal

It's been said that if you were to sit Mischief down and stroke her and talk to her telling her what happend to Rascal it will help.

Some of the others will advise, but if you think about it she's lost her friend and is grieving just like we would

I was thinking that, but they were never close. Rascal hated other cats, and Mischief would rather be with Storm (my other cat) playing than with Rascal. It was just as Rascal got sick, and let her near her that Mischief would chance going near her with out being growled at.

I'm sorry for your loss. Is it possible that she's sensing your grief & responding to that?
