This is the black and white tuxedo boy. He just crawls right into my lap when I sit down! He was so cute, laying there playing with the string from my sweater!

And this is little Midnight, who is the tiniest. He climbed up on my knee-just like a big kitty, wanting to get up high! Prayers that he recovers from his sneezes and grows up big and strong. The vet says they have a virus.

Here is a link to the first thread, in case you missed it. Warning-cuteness alert!

Take good care of them, especially if they have the flu... I wish them all well, and for them to grow up big and strong (and very very naughty..) as Wukong did.

Your little tux boy looks sooooooo adorable!! And Midnight sounds like he's gonna grow up to be a very very entertaining kitty

The tux's eyes are so gorgeous. Such a cutie!!

Well, I still intend to lay claim to one... but I still don't know which one!!! If I knew I could handle four total, I'd take both the Tux and the Cali.

I just caught Jack playing hide and seek this morning. I put curtains up over my hall closet on Christmas (ironically, just before I got slammed by this cold/flu/whatever) and they come right to the floor. Jack has discovered them and I saw what looked like his tail in the hallway, I touched it and it moved! So I pulled the curtains back an found him laying there... Silly boy. This is already a lively house... a wee fuzzle would be a riot!

Ugh... back to the couch... rest... must rest if I want to get better.... blech.

Well, the agency gives you a discount on 2, so it is a better deal! http://www.secondchancepetadoption.org/ LOL! And I still have my 2 black babies, did you have a friend wanting blackies? One is a total cuddlebug, the other is still kinda shy but coming along nicely. They were ferals.
Heres a pic of Red and Blue with Uncle Garfield.

They are old enough to adopt now, and it would be nice if some dear soul would take them both. Otherwise, I'm sure Blue will find a home, but I fear no one will want Red. (Maybe I'll just keep Red!)

The Momma is a doll, except when protecting those babies! Grr! She looks scroungy now, because she is getting medicine in both ears for a mild infection, so she looks oily. But normally she is real pretty.

I think I already posted this one, but you can see Miss CoCo being such a good mommy!

I'll keep that discount in mind... I'll have to let her know about Red and Blue... I think she has two cats right now, and I'm not sure if she can have more, or if so, how many. I have no voice(I hate being sick), or I'd call her. I'm emailing her now. I've talked to her a few times since I mentioned that before, but I kept forgetting. So I'm emailing her. I'll let you know what she says.

The discount is tempting... how long before the little ones are at an adoptable age?

They are about 4 weeks now, so they need to be at least 8 weeks, and preferably 10. We do preadoptions, so at 8 weeks if you are sure which kitty you want, I will keep it for you. I lost 3 of my last litter of 5, so am very leery of anyone choosing a kitten too early...especially since they are sneezy. I will definitely keep you in the loop for when we go to our first adoption show. All but the little calico are boys!

The little tuxie boy is always the first to climb on my lap, and he did that "cuteness" pose all by himself.

Okay... so 4-6 weeks left... I checked the site: $100 per cat... but what's the discount for taking a pair? I didn't see that on there.

Looking at the agency's site... oooohhhh... Thomas and Jefferson are gorgeous!! Such big boys too! Man, only 8 months old and already 10 pounds each!

No more... stay focused... wait for the little ones...

It is $150 for two, and everyone is up on their shots, and you get a free spay/neuter certificate for the babies. Once old enough, they are speutered. I have met Thomas and Jefferson, they are just as adorable as they look! They must go together, because they are such buddies at their foster home. I am always amazed that they haven't been adopted yet, because they are a gorgeous pair!

Sunnicat, there is nothing little about the orange baby...I think we will call him Gold Rush. He is the giant of the litter, and nurses spread eagle so he can have all the good milky! At the vets on 12/23 Midnight weighed 0.6 lb, the others weighed 0.8 lb, and Gold Rush was 1.1 lb. So while he is darling, he is not little!

I think i may understand why Thomas and Jefferson haven't been adopted yet. if they must go together, that's why many are hesitant. A lot of people, especially people who haven't adopted through official sources before, shy away from pairs, because they think two cats are more than they can handle. The only reason I didn't adopt Jojo's littermate brother, who was also orange and also in the cat room, was because i only had the fee for one cat. She bonded to me. I never met him, he was asleep on top of the 'special needs' cages. After a week, I wanted to go back and get him, but someone adopted him, once she was gone.

People are leery of pairs. They didn't demand I take both... taking just her was fine (her name was originally Butterscotch). I will never understand why people don't 'get it.' Especially when you have kittens, always get two (or more) because they need someone with the same energy levels to romp with. In my household one would be fine, because Jack and JJ still act like kittens... Especially now that Jack is 100% healthy again... he's a little holy terror. And he's 3! He should be calming down... but I think being sick for so long (vet took some teeth out 1st time, 2nd time took more out, but didn't left remnants of infected teeth... last visit, they took out remnants no charge) JJ's only about 6 months older and she still runs through the house and wreaks havoc like a kitten. And the care and feeding of two is not that much more than the C&F of one. And they'll have each other to play with. They'll never get lonely. If someone gets only one, they should have a cat in the household that has high energy, so the kitten isn't terrorizing the houshold products... of course, they may do that anyway...

Backing down off soapbox... reaching for something to steady self... Man, i wish this cold/flu would go away... it's messing with my equilibrium.

I know people who think getting a second cat is too much work... not really. As soon as I found out JJ's littermate was gone, I went hunting for a second kitty. I found a local rescue out in Syracuse with a bunch of kitties. That's where i found Jack. 7 months old, barely there a month. Scrawny little thing curled up on the sunny windowsill. My boy. i took him home that day. The food and litter isn't that much more. The love one gets from those paws and whiskers is worth it all.

I'll consider both... maybe just one... but maybe both... OOOHHHH I don't know... ARGH!

Back to the couch for me.

Amanda
