I just got back from a work christmas party. And my boss's are from Italy and go there 4 months out of the year.

And they got me A BEAUTIFUL SCARF from italy! It's soooo awesome! I cant wait to wear it tonight! I LOVE IT!

well, at my school we have a $10 gift card exchange, so that's not too exciting... but i had a fantastic secret santa at school this year. every day i got a small, stuffed kitten: an orange tabby, a gray tabby, a black & white tuxedo & a tiger. then i got 3 packages of tea samplers [i'm a tea lover] & a package of cadbury truffles, a package of ghiradelli caramel-filled squares, & a package of lindt truffles. then i also got a large, micro-bead stuffed 'mashi' pillow that looks like an orange tabby cat - you can see some non-cat versions here. took the kitty pillow w/me to the hospital & used it instead of the hospital pillows!

I wish I had secret santa stuff. I havent done that scince high school. I miss it, badly.


Secret Santa gifts were so much fun!!

My company invited us all out for dinner and payed for everything
I had a lovely steak & shrimp dinner and a rolo cheesecake for dessert!

i had gastric bypass surgery. & the kitty pillow is just adorable - far & away my fave secret santa gift [altho the chocolate was scrumptious!

MY company doesn't have a Christmas party.

I got 2 candy canes from my immediate supervisor and an $11 bonus, for the 3 1/2 hrs of OT that I've worked since Thanksgiving. WHOOPEEEEEEE!

I got a $200 bonus, a $10 Starbuck's gift cert, a dog treat tin with candy and a candle in it, and some socks.

We were treated to dinner, and got glass candy dishes with a Christmas motif. I also got a bonus from my old boss (now retired). I got two different types of tea, and some chocolates from my Secret Santa. The joke is that my SS was one of the Spanish teachers, and the reason I drink tea at school, and not coffee, is that he makes the coffee far too strong!

He's very sweet, so I really don't want to complain about his coffee, because he makes an effort to come in early and have it made before the other teachers arrive. It's simply too acidic for my stomach. Think espresso three times over.

We got a $20 Albertson's gift card right before Thanksgiving.

We don't have a Christmas Party, but the company party is next month, one Jan 7th. It costs us $10 per person (we can only bring 1 guest) and they have drawings for cool stuff. I wanted to go last year and had already paid for my ticket when I have to go on an emergency leave of absence due to a stroke I had on Dec 17th, 2004. I wasn't able to go back to work until Feb and employees on LOA are not allowed to attend. But I did get my money back.

Dh got a check, and at the company party, he is usually pretty lucky at the raffles they hold...this year, he won two different $50 gift certificates to local restaurants! We can go out to eat once a month now in January and February and not have it be out of our budget..yay!
